I've moved it twice due to remodeling and a roof fix and ZERO issues. V3 router wirelessly feeds an iMac, 12.9 iPad, extra large iPhone and Apple Watch - all at once, like warm butter on toast ! ! !

I just got my starlink. We just bought land out in the middle of nowhere where. Setup was stupid simple. Speeds are sufficient. I can have multiple TVs streaming 4K content and can even game on it. I left an area where I had AT&T fiber at 1gb/sec. Now my best speed with starlink has been around 320mb/sec so much slower however my normal use I have not noticed anything different. I’ve been able to do everything I did before. I got the 3rd gen basic dish by the way. What’s cool is i was able to connect the dish to a small battery bank when I first set it up and literally just layed the dish on the bed of my truck and got high speed internet in an area that has no internet and no cell service. Was a cool experience.

I have been using Starlink 3 in Oklahoma for just over a month, the speed tests show from 280 to 380 down and 10 to 25 up. It’s doing great, I had cable but fiber options are still 2 to 5 years out where I live. I also changed from Verizon 20 to 30 down and 1 to 3 up for T mobile 150 to 190 down 3 to 12 up. All these numbers are sitting in my living room. I am also saving over 100 a month from previous bills. Thank you

A UK user here. Been using Starlink for about 7 months now and been brilliant service. Living in a rural location, FTTC was the only option as FTTP was never going to happen in my lifetime even though many, many promises that full fibre was coming into rural location. Ping is good for me even online gaming, download/uploads is way faster - upload is 10x better and downloads around 8x better. The only negative I have is the price but, honestly, I'm ok with that due to the great speeds which can only be improved upon. Well done to all that work at Starlink :)

I am a full time camper. I use Starlink to access the Internet and to upload videos to my channel. I live in Georgia and we don't have enough coverage. I get "Glitches", short duration drop of signal. It can take 4 hours to upload a video. All satellites have a poor checksums while uploading. I get to 99 % then it fails to process and drops back to 30 % and continues to upload. This drop back can happen 3 or 4 times before I get a proper upload. It runs through this without me doing anything, but it takes too long. Another issue is I can't play games like WOW. Any gamer knows that a disconnect means death to the character as it is killed before the game knows you are not logged in. I call it "glitch killed". Since I use Starlink in areas where there is little to no signal, I need it and have learned to live with it, I just wish they would give us more satellites here in the south. I don't have a 100 % clear sky, but it's maybe 90 %, I would hope the sky mapping could deal with this. I use the standard older antenna and pay the roaming charge. I am ahead , but these problems could be fixed...

I had Viasat for three years, but it just got slower and slower. A really bad day for Starlink is faster that Viasat ever was. Starlink performances goes up and down, but is rarely non-operational. It has been a lifeline here in Texas. It is the only really viable option. Cities have a lot of options. We have one. I love it. In my second year. No regrets.

Great information. New version satellite moving forward, outstanding. Dish is pounding sand, something thousands of subscribers have also already told them to do. Hoping AT&T and their unique internet is soon doing the same. Although our service tech and lineman were great people. Still get Christmas cards from them each year. Merry Christmas Steve, Santa says no internet for you. Sure, you're on the nice list but squirrels got into the wires and the sun has been too close to the earth, making the wires too hot for us to safely touch them, and the poles are too old for us to climb them and were still on hold with Dave from tech support. He put us on hold when we told him we couldn't understand him. at least I think I'm on hold, the service here is terrible. Yes, I really do enjoy that linemen humor. Gave me a bottle of Metamucil when I asked about getting fiber. I replaced, rebooted and repowered my modem so many times tech support would call me with questions. And there's the phone now, gotta go.

I was stuck in a hughs net contract for 2 years. Every time it rained hard the module on the dish would stop working. I had to call support and it would take a couple weeks to get a new unit. I had to replace it myself because the cost of them sending a tech out was very expensive. This happened 8-9 times in the two year contract. The speeds where horrid at times the speeds where near dial up speeds. 50 gigs per month then reduced speeds kicked in. If it was even a light rain or heavy clouds no service. I changed to starlink and in 3 years I have had NO hardware issues. The speeds are normally 170 ish down and 14 up speeds at all times. It takes a massive storm to loose service and even then its only out for a very brief time. I have no data caps and love the service. The only thing I would ding starlink is the monthly price but I live in area that this is my only choice so I live with that.

I used to work for dish pretty high up when they were trying to build out a cellular network in 2019. (Did you even know dish was attempting to become a cell provider? Most people never knew because their marketing is terrible.) This is also the REAL reason dish is freaking out about this. I had come in from the cell industry. They decided it would be a good idea to keep all positions above a director as internal. That means you had a bunch of satellite TV guys making extremely important decisions on how to build a terrestrial based cell network. Yeah, it didn’t go well. Their stock was $40 when I worked there and now it’s $5.

Starlink succeeded where terrestrial companies have failed! The paradigm has been changed! There is no other option for high speed internet in my area. Only DSL and that is garbage! I am amazed when I walk outside and look at the Starlink dish and realize that, that dish provides all that I need for my home! Completely isolated! Amazing! It is unfortunate that the push to expand broadband to rural neighborhoods has failed !!! And all the money (my money taken in taxes) has not been able to achieve high speed internet in my area. Yet Starlink was denied the grant to enhance that capability….but they are achieving that goal! What does that tell you? I have no kind words for our local company that took the 85 million and we still can’t get fiber! They took My money and your money!

My question is what would be the most cost effective way to do this in order to have internet & both locations simultaneously? Or maybe the kit would just have to travel with me.

Great video. If you’re communicating with someone in another country via Starlink satellites with Laser interlinks is it possible to do it without going through a ground station ?

I'm willing to chip in to send more sand for Dish and the others to pound, make sure they don't run out. 😂

When the Gen-1’s hit EOL, will they just fail or be taken off line? Will kind of suck if they wait until death and several die at the same time, will be a step back until the new replacements are online. And as usual, good show!

They actually give them a push back into the atmosphere so they can calculate where any debris would fall. 99.9999% it vaporizes but there is always a possibility and never say never.
