I am a Canadian who lived in the US from ages 2-19. I moved back to Canada and my born-and-raised Canadian friends and coworkers couldn't BELIEVE I'd never seen the House Hippo Commercials. They were so ubiquitous, I would compare their popularity among Canadians to the 'got milk?' ads of the early 2000s in America. Fantastic. As a Canadian/American, I feel well-represented in this draft. Also, I LOVE everything Gavin picked. OOHWAUR!

I think this draft is the most excited I have ever been to see the North American House Hippo commercial. When Andrew was describing it I knew right away it had to be the house hippo commercial. EVERYONE in Canada born between 1980 and 1998 saw that commercial at least 1000 times. I audibly cheered as I saw the first frame. House Hippo is the best pick of the whole draft, and I think Andrew absolutely won this one

This was funny, but Zoobooks, Education Connection, and the compilation CD were the only commercials I could actually relate to. It's unfortunate that the American delegation was 10 to 20 years before my time. I would have loved to see the Kraft commercial with the 3D dinosaur playing guitar, the Chef Boyardee can rolling down the road, "kids under 4 foot 9 need a booster seat," Gushers where the kids' heads turn into fruit, or any number of those Floam/Orbeez type of toys where you "call now and we'll double the offer."
