What a beast to have in a mechanic shop . So neat professional and very detailed. Great job. I would never use another mechanic.

Another great video .. Just a correction on the title as this video is for a 997.2 model 911's with the direct injection MA1 engine 2009-2012

I am not all that mechanically inclined, but watching your videos is inspiring you make it look way too easy. The knowledge you have it obvious with how there's no hesitation in what you're doing. Clearly learned lessons from past experience, would feel very confident having you guys work on my car. Great video.

This is a great video, exactly what I needed, highly recommend doing the belt and tensioner at the same time, it is all exposed, saves having to go back later! I just did mine at 48k miles and 15 years, everything came off as it should have. Only add - if you have the optional 3rd (center) front radiator, you will need more coolant, mine took just over 5 gallons.

The 997 versus 987 maintenance comparo is always fun. In the case of waterpump/t-stat, the 987 is just sitting there at the front of the motor (behind driver's butt). Lift the car, remove one small sheet of belly armor and, as always, pull the passenger seat. Then the world is your oyster. Very happy that you made the 997.2 video series - Thanks! Now you FCP folks need to buy a 987 and do more videos for that. Then take it to the track... The 997.2S is fast. All 987s are FUN. You will giggle all day long. Then add a 981 for a different flavor...

Fantastic DIY. I'd love to see some Cayman/Boxster DIY as well. I could never be a professional because I can't reassemble dirty parts. I have to cleaning everything before reassembly. I'd also like to have seen the air removal of the broken studs. Thanks for the great, real world walk through of this significant and necessary job.

Wow, very complete and detailed video. Just in time for my 991.1 WP replacement. Looks close enough that I can tackle on my own. Main difference is my tools are typically scattered and there's probably a whole lot cussing on my part. Will be ordering from FCP any day now. Thanks a bunch!!

Super very thorough review of necessary tools and job description. I like that you also tell the tightening torque on all bolts and screws. There are not many others who describe it, so many thanks. I have selected you as your preferred subscription. Kurt Denmark

@@fcpeuro 😇 Enjoy watching your videos. I am planning to buy a 991.1 Turbo S and know in advance that it will be expensive to keep running with all the quirks that the car contains. So if problems arise, I know where to look for help. I am also a do it yourself person to keep costs down as much as possible. So keep up the good spirit. Thank you very much.

Great detailed video on how to carry out this job . I think I would only carry out this job if I had a large well lit garage to do it . Not sure if I’d attempt this at the side of the road or on the driveway.

great video. not having the suction system to refill coolant can i just fill and bleed?
@fcpeuro5 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching! for these vehicles, it is a must to vacuum fill the coolant system as they are highly susceptible to air pockets due to the nature of the design.
