Awesome vehicle and sirene usage. But i gotta say the traffic kills it all. I mean the traffic is heavy obviously but there's combined with all the spaces between cars and lanes an amount of room which isn't being used by road users. I know it is a generalisation but thats kinda the idea i get with us emergency videos (exceptions of course) Seems like no effort by traffic is beeing made whatsoever. Only when the emv is right behind a driver. Even in less congested areas at intersections. People just sit there. Forcing emv's in oncoming lanes.

The solution to this problem would be to put a push bar in front of the ambulance. This way the emergency drivers are able to push themselves a way through the cabs. If those stupid cab drivers won't listen, then it'll have to go the hard way. The companies behind all the damaged cabs shouldn't be able to request for a compensation. They'll need to instruct their drivers!

+jrpower5 Emergency vehicles can only request the right of way, not force it. It's law enforcements job to ensure people comply with pull to the right laws. It sucks but the only realistic foreseeable solution is better driver education

Cole True, but I think it's a shame that emergency vehicles don't have the right to push a way through certain vehicles. Yes, it causes damage (just equip emergency vehicles with push bars, less damage), but that is the price for being ignorant and/or arrogant. However, better driver education would definitely be the ultimate answer. It might also be a good idea to increase the price of the fine for not giving way to an emergency vehicle.
