Mr Commissioner.This is a leadership moment .Establish ,and support and active Task force of Officers and Firefighters before more lives are lost and injuries occur .As a result of these illegal stores .You have the greatest Fire Department and FDNY Fire Marshals at your disposal .Perhaps insurance companies will consider these claims to no longer justified .Individuals have a funny way of considering there property will be replaced .You are looking a thousands of dollars in damages

After checking the store wasn't illegal they had a 2nd alarm here last year

How many fires like this have you documented.? To many ,Its time for a leadership moment .There has already been a loss of life ,injuries and extensive damage .Enough already

Excellent report of the ongoing battle between the FDNY and stupid people. From what I gather from the com traffic what we have here is some stupid who thought the way to fame and riches was to just not bother with laws and safety regulations. He should be facing criminal charges for reckless endangerment, but most likely he'll face charges for his illegal operation and lose all his precious Benjamins. Never underestimate stupidity.
