Hi Kenza. I took your FE course (morning, afternoon, and statics) 4 years out of school after failing 2 times (while in undergrad) and finally passed the exam last week all while working full time ! Planning to take my PE exam early next year . Thanks again to you and your team for all the quality content and posting all these encouraging videos!!

Hi, Congratulations, I’m so happy for you, and thank you for sharing this with us! Passing the FE exam and working full-time is hard. I’m so proud of you! When you start preparing for your PE, make sure you review the FE accelerator afternoon course; it will help you a lot with the PE breadth. Also, feel free to join our weekly meetings to get that boost of motivation. If you have any questions about PE, feel free to email us; we will be happy to help you. Congrats again 🎉

This is a HUGE accomplishment! Kenza is the reason I passed the FE after being out of school for 17 years. She is amazing and so is her program. From the in depth and meticulously explained practice problems, to the lifestyle management advice, to just being there for a ton of personal support, I was very confident going into it. I never took the PE because I started a company and had to switch gears, but someday I would love to just pass it so I can say I have the license.

At 8:35 he mentions reviewing the lectures for the morning section. What lectures is he talking about? where can I find them?
@Genieprep Жыл бұрын
Hi Michael. Thank you for watching! He is referring to our course, which helped him prepare for his FE and PE as well. You can check out the course here: genieprep.com/fe-civil/. Since we provide lifetime access to our courses, he used it to prepare for his PE as well, as he still had access to it. If you have any questions about the course, please don't hesitate to contact us at hello@genieprep.com. Good luck with your studies!😁

I didn’t work under Pe how to qualify
@Genieprep Жыл бұрын
Hi Mohamed! Thank you for watching. It depends on the state, some states won’t approve the PE license even if you pass, you need to work under PE for 3 years in some states and 2 and 5 years in others. Make sure to contact the NCEES for this. I hope this helps.

Is PE Breadth similar to FE ? Can you rely on your FE study for PE breadth section ?
@Genieprep Жыл бұрын
Hi Shirishkumar! Thank you for watching! The PE breadth is similar to FE afternoon session. There is a guy who shared his review on Reddit about using the FE Afternoon course, here is the link to that post: www.reddit.com/r/PE_Exam/comments/12g0mim/pe_civil_transportation_cbt_exam_study_approach/. I hope this helps and please don't hesitate to reach out to us at hello@genieprep.com if you have any other questions.

It depends on what state you're in. Have you checked the NCEES website?
@viniciusbraga58462 жыл бұрын
That’s an awesome testimony ! Quick question, can you take your PE right after passing the FE ? Or you got to wait some time to be eligible to do it ?
@Genieprep2 жыл бұрын
Hi Vinícius. Thank you for watching. Before applying for the PE, you must have the EIT certificate, and you must apply through your state board. Check with your state because the rules vary by state, and some even require a minimum of experience. I hope this helps! Good luck getting your PE!☺

For the PE are the breath and depth questions weighted the same?
@sylviakelechi7698 Жыл бұрын
Hi Kenza Does the PE use the same handbook used for FE and also is it the same total of 110 question or do we have more questions in the PE?
@Genieprep Жыл бұрын
Hi Sylvia. The PE exam uses different reference handbooks, you need to log in to your NCEES account and download it. Keep in mind that it might be more than one, depending on which discipline you're taking. The PE exam is 8 hours total and the number of questions is between 80 and 85 questions. I hope this helps. Good luck with your PE.

Congrats on passing your PE. What is your next step or what are you studying next? Maybe he study for the PE many times before he realized he failed the exam. If he failed the FE exam many times but pass the PE exam in a short time, can we conclude the PE exam is easier? I have some smart friends (including myself) who pass the FE exam but do not qualify to take the PE exam because they (and I) could not find a job that meet this description-“complete four years of qualified work experience in their field. This work usually has to be supervised by a licensed Professional Engineer.”
@nelsonvalencia20062 жыл бұрын
I thought that In order to obtain the PE license, an engineer in training (Pass FE exam/EIT) must have usually four years of experience under the direct supervision of a licensed PE to take the PE exam. Is it true?
@Genieprep2 жыл бұрын
It can depend state by state. But what we're learning is that you may be able to take the PE and pass then get your experience. But you will need both to get your official license. Be sure to check with your state office!

I want to add if you have a Masters degree you can reduce one year requirement and can take test in 3 years instead if you are in one of the states that require 4 yrs experience
