I always say im not scared of driving…. Im scared of getting dizzy and feeling faint WHILE driving… never had driving anxiety even with years of panic attacks but one major attack while driving and for 3-4 months now i barely drive 10min and never alone. Need to stop avoiding!

Yes, that's almost always the problem. It's the fear of fear that gets people so once you release that you can drive just fine. It isn't about fixing the problem, it's about finding out what gives you the worry.

i had covid really bad last year july and developed really bad anxiety to where i can’t even drive on freeways by myself or with my four year old without feeling like i’m going to go into a full blown panic attack. My hands get sweaty and feeling dizzy and hands going numb like i’m going to let go of the wheel. Minding you I used to work across a bridge in a busy city over an hour away and hit about two hour traffic coming home. I don’t know what else to do.

I've got already 50 hours of driving, my exam is in March, but after 30 h I don't make progress at all, I always feel anxious before driving/lesson, because I'm always making the same mistakes.. my clutch control is very good , in all 50 h I think I've stalled once or twice. It's just something that I can't explain, that doesn't make me progress to be independent.. especially on roundabouts, when I'm with someone else in the car and I'm not driving I see everything so clear and it seems so easy, but when I get back into the driver seat, I'm starting again with mistakes ... Now I'm thinking to cancel my exam, i feel disappointed and powerless. I feel like nothing can truly help me to pass over this. Also I think my instructor did all she could to help me.. she suggested me to try an automatic.

If something really is holding you back in your mind then nothing you do with driving will get over it. The only way to fix that is to find out what your problem really is and fix that, then your driving will be easy. You have to be sure it is that though and not just that you haven't learnt properly. I taught many people who came to me saying their instructor was great but they weren't, they were just nice! Great and nice are not the same thing. If you're sure you need help with it then just contact me through www.1stdrive.com/contact/#anxiety

I drove down the Bristol road today towards Longbridge. I turned left was fine then panicked thinking I need to get in the rig lane. I was fine. But worried about changing lanes. I think maybe should have used the roundabout and come out in the right lane. It's a weird road. It that road by Bournville college. I cannot believe I did it should feel amazing though.

I had one of the worst panic attacks yesterday while driving and it scared me to death! I had my child in the car …I’m so desperate for help and to somehow overcome this! My life/our life is limited to being home unless I pay to Uber us where want to go. 😢😢😢

I have anxiety which I think stems from my social anxiety, but I literally have no reason for it. No trauma in my earlier years or anything, just lacking confidence maybe?

There is always a reason and finding it is the hardest part of therapy. You won't know what it is or you wouldn't have a problem, no matter how much people say there is no issue there always is! I know because I've been through it myself.

Today I failed my test 4 times. I am a good driver I know how to drive, I've been driving for the last 2 years with my partner car. But as soon as I get to DVSA on my driving test day, that's it I completely transform, my brain switches its self and I get nervous, anxious, I get moments zooming out when I'm with the examiner, but if I drive alone or with my partner absolutely perfectly fine and 100% focused. I dont really know what to do..

I have been driving for years but built anxiety around driving on motorways and certain A roads. I can drive anywhere on country roads. I start shaking, sweating as well as getting migraines. I'm not sure I will ever concour the issue.

You don't have to conquer it, that's where you're going wrong. This is why people that know what they're talking about never use words like conquer, beat, defeat etc. I only use them in titles because it's what people search for but it's not what you do.

That's why I do it online. In the last week I've worked with people in America, Australia and the UK.
