Your book is tremendously encouraging me to obtain support for my Evangelistic ministry throughout New England. Thank God for you Steve!

Support raising is challenging, my context is being a Missionary from South Africa, the term Missionary is not familiar in my hometown... Fear to ask for support is big, but also I have to explain what Missionary work is, the concept of not working to earn my money is foreign... And when I receive help to travel, the assumption is I am well-founded... I hope to get hold of the book The God Ask...

I completely hear your heart! You're right, doesn't matter where you're from, fundraising is difficult. But I particularly have a heart for Global South missionaries who are trying to raise funds to go to the mission field. Be encouraged! Fundraising is done through relationship and there are always people who will support you. Definitely check out the book. It's powerful

thanks for putting this together, David. I enjoyed being with you and have started to listening to some of your other podcasts. Was just on my tractor a couple of days ago and enjoyed the Bevin Grinder (sp?) segment. Keep it up bro!

Thank you so much for recognizing and addressing this issue. As a young man who feels called to do missions, I can approve you, that fundraising is truly the one thing I (and probably many many others) struggle with. It's good, that you have mentioned the biblical reason behind that, I'll dig deeper into that. Other than that, I think the reasons differ from each individual. I guess mine are a sense of pride, where the old man hasn't been put to death yet (because it feels like I beg and want to live at the expense of others) and a big nope from my parents who are believers but would rather me to follow their plans for my life. Something that would definitely have helped me would have been the opportunity for a free chat, where you would be able to share your situation and get some professional advice. Of course, it's an extra investment for missions organizations, but I believe it could really help getting them workers in. If you have to sign in with your full name and your email, that should keep out most trolls. The resources are great, the book is so too I'm sure, but such a chat would be delicious. Even if it was only twice a week for four hours, that would already be enough, I can come back to that. Again, thank you so much, Matthias
