If you're only going off price then yea you're going to have buyer's remorse on the denim jacket from main line. It is vastly different though in construction, design, and material. It's not even close. The essentials version is akin to someone who lost a ton of weight and has loose flabby skin hanging around everywhere that's visible to everyone. I have FoG denim jackets from 4th, 6th, eternal, and 8 and can tell the difference and thoughtful improvements along the way. This essentials was a big miss for me. Grabbed a bunch of pieces and returned them all. Material quality is highly lacking, took a few steps back in terms of quality from the last release. Everything seems to feel thin and less weight on the fabrics. Maybe that's intentional for summer? but just felt cheap to me.

Difference is less filler and toxins in the materials. 100% cotton is better for your skin. Did you see the recent report from shien. All that made in China clothing that is cheap fast fashion is really poor quality. Never owned any fear of god jeans. I would get these over h&m for 100% cotton though all my Levi's will hold me down for a very long time

@@leestrz4153I’ve owned & still own many fear of god jeans & they are all on the thicker side denim/weight wise. 100% cotton is def a huge plus. All mainline denim are made of Japanese denim & are all selvedge. All my pairs have lasted & will last for years to come. I will say they aren’t as comfy as a pair of 98% cotton, 2% elastane, but they feel more substantial, rugged, durable, & heavier in hand. 2% elastane can really mess up the shape of a pair of jeans over time as far as fit. 100% cotton is always a better option in my opinion. As far as the essentials jeans, I’ve only owned one pair & they were slim straight black ones that came out in like 2021 or 2022. They are pretty thick & nice in hand vs other jeans I’ve felt at many mall stores. I can’t speak on any new releases though. Levi’s are great jeans too. I just prefer the 100% cotton versions.

I had bad luck with the jeans. Bought tts the first time and exchanged it for one size up and it still didn’t fit right on my body. I’m a little bummed bc I love the wash and the slimmer cut but it just didn’t work out. I purchased the jacket in my true size and love it.

My denim came in yesterday, I'm a true 34 I got a 34, they do feel tight at first but after 3 4 hours they were broken in. This is my very first fog denim, don't have mainline but no complaints about the quality or anything, I think they're worth the 180 price point. My only question or concern is if they'll bleed on my shoes, I'm more of a sneakerhead so kinda scared to wear them with white shoes but I dont want to wash the denim first....any help with this Paul? Or anyone else?

100% agree gotta do 1 full size down. I went with the essentials version since 999$ for a Jean jacket is retarded. But the lighter shade is imho so much more fire 🔥🔥 but not 800$ more 🔥🔥

That denim is not worth it at all. I can’t even wear it in the correct size because they have zero stretch. If you are athletic, this stuff is garbage for you

Most denim jackets have 0 stretch, this one shouldn’t need stretch since it’s boxy/oversized. Maybe sizing up would give you the extra room.
