I love intermittent fasting and have been eating mostly OMAD since June 2020. Even though OMAD is my standard, I love being flexible in my schedule and will at times have variations to keep things interesting. I have lost weight, got into a healthy weight range for my height and maintained the weight loss for over 3 years! I love to share the flexibility and peace offered through intermittent fasting.

Funnily enough, I had a registered dietitian tell me fasting is not good for perimenopausal women because of stress response to the fasted state. But truthfully, fasting helps minimize my stress. But she was generally anti-fasting.

My hair grew up during the OMAD lifestyle !!! I ate so clean during my eating window (only unprocessed food / green juice & fruit juice/good fat and no bad oils / no alcool ). The more I fast, the healthier I become as I crave good and healthy food ! Amazing to me ! I feel so free and good !

Dietitians like doctors are taught what big pharma wants them to learn.. if the dietitian doesn't start looking into holistic ways of helping overweight people or people that have a lot of health problems, you're not going to get good advice from them.. dietitians like to feed you from the pyramid which is a lot of carbs and sugars..

Hubby and I started fasting Sunday night and are on day 3 of an 18:6, which is getting progressively easier. Love not having limitations. I am meal prepping and eating the stuff we love. I made a bit too much food for us last night and had left overs for our son, which he loved. LOL I think we may save money in this whole deal. Happy about that...

Been on Omad for 2-3 years and it has changed my life. I'm a guy and used to play rugby regularly even at 36 until an American Football injury so no cardio for a year buuut eating as normal then went to Omad and wow! I just drink black tea in the mornings or the odd black coffee before a workout but don't break bread till 8-9pm. I avoid pasta and bread as it makes me feel heavy but eat loads of sweet potato, broccoli and spinach.

A key statement , I'm either fasting or eating.. Fasting has so many health benefits and you really can eat what you enjoy without counting calories /diet brain.. I've been on the fast, loose weight and gain it all back train. To get to the point that I can eat, maintain , not gain unwanted weight and see my health flourishing is the optimal motivation to embracing this lifestyle!!!!! It works well for me....

*Something very important!!! After fasting, you love healthy food, you want it, it tastes great, hunger makes healthy foods taste good and increases your gratitude for it. So fasting helps you make healthy food choices. This is reason enough to fast. Our taste buds aren’t spoiled from junk food or from too constant eating*

This is so good! I love fasting, many people don’t understand as it seems so extreme to eat in a small window (4 hours for me) but I hate thinking about food all day and now I love knowing in the evening I can just enjoy freely. Again, your appetite reduces and you get used to not eating that much. I love enjoying the same meals with my husband and enjoying a snack without guilt because I’ll be back to fasting again the next day. It’s the most consistent pattern for me. Love how you’ve explained it, I feel understood 😁

@@deriancarey77 mate, unless you are some fucking break through in science (which I highly doubt). Then no, carbs don't matter. You didn't break the law of thermodynamics. Educate yourself before commenting something stupid. You lost a little weight because you were in a small deficit. That's it.

@@laurennicl94 you have a lot of nerve telling anyone they're stupid! I think maybe you should start doing research before you embarrassing yourself! FYI doing omad doesn't mean a calorie deficit, it means that you eat all of your daily calories in one sitting instead of three, five if you're doing two snacks.. And you're absolutely wrong about carbs not affecting certain types of people! I am a perfect example of that! I have a disease called lipedema, no not lymphedema, lipedema. This disease actually keeps the people that have it, unable to lose weight, and as you get older, it gets worse. I have been doing the omad for over a year and I've lost 11 lbs, which is a total game changer for me because I was gaining weight as a vegan... Yes, I was a vegan and actually gained weight because of all the carbs and sugar, and no, I was not a vegan junk eater, I ate whole natural unprocessed foods..when I eat carbs or sugar I immediately gain weight.. fruits and veg had me walking with a cane, I get inflamed which causes a lot of water retention and puffiness.. But when I stay low carb, even doing OMAD I start feeling less puffy.. Carbs are an issue with some people! Not everyone is perfect to like you!

You’ve just about sold me. I think I want what you have. But I would love to know what your medical tests show after eating this way for 3 years. There are thin people who are quite unhealthy. So hopefully it’s not too personal to ask about your numbers. A1C, cholesterol, BP, and do you have a fatty liver. I’ve watched quite a few of your videos and the life style is very appealing. And you look great. Your skin looks great. But still would like to know about the unseen parts. Thanks so much 😊 for all your wonderful videos. You keep it real. And I love that!

In order to make sure you are in a deficit to lose weight to need to calculate your TDEE, there are calculators online. If you eat more than your body needs you'll never lose weight. Fasting is not magic. It allows you to lower your insulin while enabling you to still eat but in a shorter window. Studies show people who lose are eating less food than their body burns.

Yes I total agree with you. OMAD is so nice and easy to do, But I have to meal prep because when it is time to eat I say what am I going to eat. Hmmmm then I don't eat anything. I order to loose weight you have to eat. So if I prepare my food then I will eat, I also eat sugar to but not a lot because I'm am Insulin Resistance. But I do enjoy a lot of other food I like.

I started doing OPAD [ one plate a day with one caloric beverage] with my group of fasting friends on my channel. With OMAD I can stuff too many calories in that in that one hour. Then once a week we can have a splurge hour with no restrictions. The more advanced people fast twice a week. We have monthly challenges but I think we will continue doing OPAD. Can you do a video on OPAD. If so give me a shout out.
