What really sold me about the condition was that Grace was selling it as it was a harsh world. They could've done more but the direction of the season was appalling.

Madison is collector 6 & Morgan’s raft tent thing had number 6 on it so I expect that’s what caused the mix up at the start. Poor baby Mo being left alone after Madison took her.....if these children are so precious to PADRE why would they risk leaving them alone at collection points ???? Crying babies must draw Walkers 🤷🏻‍♀️ The idea of kids with no parents or emotional attachments screams brain washing the kids into the soldier citizens PADRE require. Sounds like a CRM link possibly ???? That would make more sense re Madison thinking Nick & Alicia could be easily found by them.....helicopters etc Gutted to see Morgan risking giving up his loved ones to PADRE so quickly 😢 I know he thinks he has a plan but he really doesn’t know enough to make this call. Assuming the sack masks are to prevent collectors recognising parents...must admit it made me think budget Whisperers lol 😂 Love your reactions....my favourite ones

This was the best episode of the season for me. It was one of few good episodes this season. And it sets up season 8 so well. I hope they dont screw up season 8, the set up they have for padre is amazing. Also I hope Madison doesn't need an oxygen tank forever, that would be annoying

PADRE could even be an off-set of CRM, or a kid-snatching colony much like they had research facilities and other communities in the future on WB. Now, good writing would mean there aren't coincidences and similarities like Padre./CRM wouldn't be for naught. Unfortunately, the current FTWD writers have shown their inability to do good work most of the time, so it's anyone's guess...

Plus its a easy way to get everyone back together without having to come up with a bunch of little sub plots on finding each other. Reminds me of how in season 2 of FTWD all the characters were captured and then in season 3 they are all at the same place.

How about this guys ;). What if this boat and probably the island is a VERY EARLY version of BLOODWORTH ISLAND !?. Because if you look at the timeline, episode 715 takes place on day 1261. The day that Rick blew up the bridge and his family thought he was dead was on day 1207. So this finale takes place during the 6 year time skip that season 9 of the original show did. But personally i feel like Kim Dickens blew it out of the water in this episode !. P.S: This whole child kidnapping thing could also be a good way to reintroduce Annie, Max & Dylan to the show.

Filming locations don’t mean that much. It’s cheap, they have permission to film. They have a coast, for different scenes, they don’t get harsh or visual winters messing scheduling or continuity.

What if Padre is actually in Europe and connects with the Daryl spinoff? Norman Reedus said he's going to find 'lost characters' but it doesn't mean it's just the main show characters. Season 8 for Fear could be something completely different or even take place after Daryls show.

I agree it was the best episode of the seasons but that’s just another way of saying it sucked the least. Without Sherry saying D after every sentence she says to Dwight, without people pointing guns at people and only pulling the trigger when they have no chance to hit anybody, without smoke and yellow and orange smoke, without Alicia passing out every five minutes, without characters sacrificing themselves for no reason, without newly introduced characters being killed off at the end (wait scratch that one) and with two characters we actually have a reference point for a plot and we can expect something anything coherent from (scratch that one too), this episode did indeed suck the least.

I do definitely think ‘PADRE’ is The civic republic. Looks like a similar boat that Jadis was on , and I don’t think they’ll go round saying we are the civic republic , Isabel couldn’t tell Al what it’s called. Would be cool if LtCol. Kubleck makes an appearance. The CR covers people when taking them to their bases and that’s what padre is doing. It is without question the CRM. I agree they could be taking these children to raise as soldiers

Very true. Could be an earlier version of CRM before we get to WB time many years later. Or even this could be a kid-snatching offshoot of CRM, much like the research people or the campus colony, etc. My thought is that the CRM is the "big bad people" of this entire TWDU, and the Commonwealth is being set up as a sort of hub of good - maybe a current/potential/hopeful alliance member being used to send research subjects and have a civilian govt type setup. Having all these dots connected may be more wishful thinking than not, but I would like to hope there's some type of bigger vision as we move toward the European/fast/stronger walkers.

At the end of FTWD's S7, it's only about two months after the main TWD's S9 events where Rick blows up the bridge and is presumed dead. This is mapped out in the different timelines over on Fandom, which have been quite accurate based on all the shows' events and comments about the TWDU.

They could've summed up S7 in first 8 episodes (surviving and then escaping nuclear apocalypse area) and moved right into this. It was just too stretched out and was ultimately pointless - even characters lost, weren't overly meaningful because you hadn't seen them in several eps and completely forgot what they were up to. The whole thing was unbelievable (in a fictional zombie apoc context). At least this episode was better and sets up S8, and even has some potential threads for the bigger TWDU. We shall see.
