Honestly, I do think Qt is so lucky to have such friends who will want to go to a concert of her favorite artist with her. Even though they are not per se fans of her music. Even little things, like trying to make her happy by really trying to fit in the crowd by dresscode. As a past Taylor swift hater to a current lover. I think a decent portion of the hate can be explained by misogyny. So many things that are loved by girls and women are belittled and told are uncool or whatever. We’re open and proud about liking things and being passionate about liking those things. I think the moral of the story is that Swifties relate to the music. they thoroughly enjoy her music. They enjoy not only the music and how it can feel so very relatable but also how taylor swift likes to involve her fans/community in on her work too. Like the Easter eggs that she hides from one video to another. It is the thoughtfulness that goes into it that make her (Taylor) stand out in a lot of ways. I think the longevity of her career also plays a giant factor too. She has been around for so many generations of people to experience her work. She has stayed consistent and hasnt left.

I wish QT would have been on this episode to hear Will say Taylor's lyrics are just "I'm sad you're gone." I think it's easy to only think of her music as the early stuff she wrote when she was like, a 15 year old girl and form that opinion. But as she grew up, so did her lyrics and she truly does have some gorgeous lyricism (especially in like, folklore/ evermore era). I think one of the reasons people do get so heated about takes like Will's comes from frustration. It's just frustrating that people have these opinions formed off her early career, end up boiling all of her music down to that opinion and then think we're dumb for emotionally connecting to her music. I’m not a big swiftie. Haven’t even listened to her last few albums. But the way men who don’t like her music talk about her and her fans makes me uncomfortable, especially when they talk way more insanely about their favourite sport teams than most Swifties talk half the time. At least musicians make music about relatable and significant experiences; I don’t understand the connection to sport team, but I don’t mock people for getting super into their sports fandoms. If you’re joking about murdering a buddy for some sports team then I don’t think you should be acting all high and mighty when Swifties have their own fandom fun.
