Funny, I checked out Fear Factory for their cover of cars. Fell in love with that album and haven't looked back. Metallica and Megadeth were the heaviest bands I had really listened to before that. I was disappointed in Archetype and Digimortal. Too casual for FF. Mechanize was a breath of fresh air.

Have you heard him live? Seriously, big FF fan speaking here, but Burton C. Bell definitely cannot sing a fuckin ´ note straight...but I guess it´s absolutely okay to depend on tech in the studio, according to the band´s general concept...;) First time I saw ´em was 1990 or 1991 near Karlsruhe,Germany with Unleashed and , I believe it was Nocturnus...Burton sucked "bigly" live, the keyboarder was busy changing sound disks the entire time, only Cazares delivered. Despite that, I still am a huge fan, have all of their albums and am eagerly waiting for the next one. Albums superb, with only a few minor and one major disappointment (Archetype), but live....won´t waste any more money on them after I´ve seen them , well, for the tenth? eleventh? time live and Burton always sucked at the clean parts.

JoRdOguitarman1 check out some live stuff from the mid 90's up to the early 2000's. there's lots of really good performances from Burton, especially the obsolete tour in 98/99, he was at his absolute vocal prime then. contrary to popular belief he didn't always suck live, his voice is just so badly damaged now.
@Jordo2468 жыл бұрын
I don't think people realise how much doing harsh vocals really does fuck your voice up especially when you're always on tour. The only guy I can think of that hasn't lost his voice after touring so much is Randy Blythe.
