This came out just before I met my husband Gareth. We were together for 34yrs until I lost him in 2020 to pancreatic cancer at 58yrs old. This lovely song takes me right back there to those times in the 80's. Wish I could back. Love you Gareth, miss you love. Xx❤❤

I remember him singing "teenage kicks" on TOTPs. He was new wave (watered down punks) then, next thing he's on Noel Edmunds Sat evening show singing this. Takes me back to when there was only me & an elder sister left in the home with mum & dad after the others had married & moved on. This and a Billy Ocean song. Scary how many years ago that was... :-(
