My 4 year old puppy passed away this January from cancer. It was a horribly long, expensive and painful experience for her and I wish she had so much more time on this planet and with me. This song and album have done so much for me. Over the last 10 years, I've struggled with my faith and what it means to me. Recently, my wife and I welcomed our first child into the world and I see his grace again. And in these tough times of trying to keep my family safe, it's music like this that brings me back to where I need to be to encourage me to be a good husband, father, role- model, and protector. I’ve been hanging on to every word of this song since it’s release. I was going through a rough breakup with a woman I was very much in love with; still in love with. This song encouraged me to think about what role I played in the tumultuous events that were going on in both of our lives. “When you realize how wrong you are when you’re 10,000 feet in the air” was the line that caused me to see how I had hurt her.
