As lovely and positive as this comes across, I do feel quite fed up and exhausted at celebrities constantly talking about their struggles in life, writing books about it and coming across as overcoming difficulties as though their on par with REAL folk. Celebrities are human too and are not exempt from lifes struggles, HOWEVER, they have the finances to go to rehab, see specialists when needed and not have to wait, they can afford to go on holidays, buy expensive treats, spas and so much more that US real folk have not got at our disposal. These ladies need a few months experiencing real life in the real world with no help, support, finances and ill health, on a waiting list for months, years to see a specialist. You ladies are extremely privileged and are living an incredible life in comparison to real people who are seriously struggling and have nothing and no one to help them.

Lady Bancrfot - I really acknowledge what you are putting out there. I don't mean it as a personal attack on Holly - she's very lovely. We have a reasonable health system here - but yea - their world is quite different to mine. I wish you all the very best (from Oceania)
@arnicepernice86563 жыл бұрын
I agree. I do not know why this book will help anyone. All celebrities are writing the same finding myself or misery memoires. This lady is indeed hugely privileged and has access to the best. It’s not actually that helpful. Whilst I’m sorry about her struggles who needs to hear it

Exactly this!..I wonder if anyone would buy my book ..suffered mental health issues since 16..my husband of 15 years had an affair and left me to bring my two lads up single handedly ,had two cleaning jobs where I had to take my kids to work with me,I then had a heart attack and can no longer work and now my landlord as decided to give me two months to get out of the home I've lived in 25 years as he wants to sell up...that's real life Holly !!..gets me so angry that these folk feel a little lost yet will make thousands by writing a book about it!!

i’m jealous of holly’s ability to let things go and not “drag” past regrets with her, but i do really relate to fearne’s struggles with it - it’s not that easy to just forget about it or ignore it, if it is for you then that’s great but remember that not everyone is the same

Growing old really is a privilege. I know this from living with cancer & having growing old removed. Fearne some chats with those classed as medically terminal (such as Kris) would be useful but although your and Holly's lives are so different to mine I find this podcast talk so helpful. Thank you.

I will never understand why people hate on Holly when she seems like such a lovely, sweet and insightful person. People got so distracted by her beauty and attractiveness that they’ve refused to look at her as a person and that’s sad cause she really does seem so lovely. Loved this chat and this insight into who Holly is, related so much to her when she spoke about struggling to having to control things and overanalyzing. Also loved the bit about her talking about not dragging regrets etc behind you. Holly really is incredible, miss seeing her on telly so much and also miss seeing these two together❤

This is the first time I’ve listened to Fearne’s podcast and I couldn’t help but feel that these two were having entirely separate conversations at certain points. You can tell that they’re very different people and that Fearne is ideas and existentialism whereas Holly is ordered practicality. I think both approaches appeal to different personalities but I felt as though Fearne was lightyears ahead in terms of openness and honesty, so I felt she had much clearer points, but that’s probably because she has been doing this for some time now.

I couldn't agree more! I also felt that, although they are friends, there was an ever so slight sense of tension between them? It's like Holly has always been that one friend who Fearne thinks is "perfect" and Holly is only just realising that perhaps she isn't perfect after all, but Fearne has already had to work on herself for years because she feels so 'imperfect' compared to others (e.g. Holly). There's definitely a really unusual vibe between them.

@@staceymurphy9779 i think it’s because fearne has struggled with depression and anxiety among other mental health issues and holly doesn’t seem to fully understand that fearne can’t just let things go or just not care about what other people think, it might be easy for holly to shut it out but it massively affects fearne, and i also think holly just wants her friend to be happy

I absolutely adore Happy Place, it is such a fabulous podcast. I am a huge believer in being open and transparent and the podcast is this in spades, whilst still ensuring each guest (& Fearne) feel at ease with how much they talk about. Holly was a great guest, I particularly liked the part regarding your checklist in life and what to do once you've accomplished the tasks in front of you.

I think Holly and Fearne are on different wave lengths. I think I identify more with Fearne but I’m grateful to have friends like Holly who see things differently. Very interesting chat, listening to two girls I've grown older with , talking about important feelings and ways of building and breaking down walls . I can't imagine being in the public eye in any way, I manage to go to my local leisure centre 3 times a week to swim it's everything to me My release valve and it's taken me nearly 8 years to get this far . Being made to feel guilty for my anxiety and fear of going out for so long , I'm finally at the point I can say no and not worry. I still follow my no with a reason for saying no ...... but If people don't except my reason I leave it as there problem not mine. Looking forward to listening to more. Stay safe stay well xx

Nice to see more well-known people are being more vulnerable in the public eye. It's important, tbh. It's the human condition that none of us *really* know what we're doing. 🤣@People moaning..
