I love this one. It is my „go-to-business-trip” razor as it is very very cheap to rebuy if you lost one. It is also very efficient and safe to use during the morning shave before meeting.

It is truly a good option.

I agree with you, I prefer sharper blades because I don't like the pulling sensation. Even if my beard is sparse. A well-sharpened blade with a good technique glides better! Felíz Navidad Heiko!!!🎉🎄🎊✨

Hey Heiko! Feather has one that is adjustable, too! It has two settings with a simple switch on the side of the head. 1 for a more mild shave, 2 for a more aggressive shave. It is made of metal and plastic. Thanks for the review of this razor! JimG

Great review! I first learned about Glysolid from your channel. I have all kinds of problems with dry skin and have used a ton of products to deal with it. Glysolid has been a game changer for me. It's the most effective moisturizer and skin protectant for me. My mom has dry skin problems also - probably where I get it from. I traveled to see her and asked her to try my new "potion." She loves it too! She said she will remember my visit as the time I introduced her to Glysolid. Good, heavy stuff. I usually thin it out with some aloe vera gel or lotion, so it spreads. Thanks for your reviews and information!

Great shave. It is nice that some good affordable options still exist for travel or even as you've said to try out that method of shaving and see if you enjoy it. I've never tried the plastic Wilkinson Sword Classic one but also heard it's pretty decent for $7. I know PaulHFilms often uses it.
@Heiko-shaves18 күн бұрын
I have not tried the plastic Wilkinson yet but it is going to happen. Affordable options are great.

I do have Feather artist club shavette and the stainless three piece set. All givecacgreat shave. No doubt Feather tends to work, and that's a great price point. Have a great Christmas Heiko

I have been looking at the stainless three piece but $165 is a steep. Merry Christmas.

Great review Heiko. Audio sounds good. The razor sounds great. No matter how little pressure I use, I always get irritation with a feather blade. For now I will stick to Personna Comfort Coat. Mery Christmas to you and your family. 👍🎅🎄

Please could you also show the extras, like the bowls and sink stuff, for us beginners. Could you also explain what each part is for as you go along, like the pre-shave and after shave - what are those for?

Sure, I'll do that in my next video.

Hey Heiko hope all Is well With you, Happy holidays to you and the family. Little disappointed with YAQI in particular with regards to taking ideas from other artisans and hardware manufacturers most recently with Phoenix Shavings Bomb tips. They created an exact copy of it. So was a little taken back by that. Anyway, good to see you. Hope all is well happy and healthy year ahead.
@Heiko-shaves17 күн бұрын
I came across the same thing a few months ago. There is a Liveben razor that has the same colored tip on it as the Phoenix razors but in their defense Phoenix has all razors made in China, so I wouldn't be surprised if those yaqi or Liveben items are made in the same factory as the Phoenix stuff. Merry Christmas, keep up the good work.

This razor being so close to the knack reminds me of another razor paying homage to gillette. I can't remember... have you tried the weishi 9306? It's a superspeed essentially. Seems well built to me and made with quality material. It looks and feels like it is stamped brass or some kind of alloy? Definitely not cast zink, though. They are pretty affordable and give a nice shave.

I've heard good things about that one. I may have to check it out.

Great vid! Did you use the pre-shave without splashin your face with water first and just rubbing it on a dry face? Lately used a pre shave of proraso as well and I had a lot of tugging. Bet the pre shave and lather together made it al to dry and needed more hydratation. But funny to see that you even put it dry on the face and still got a smooth shave😅
@Heiko-shaves17 күн бұрын
Yes, I guess I did that. I am a little inconsistent. Sometimes I get my face wet first, sometimes I don't. During the lather I pay attention to the hydration of the lather. Thanks for your comment. Merry Christmas

Good shave and merry Christmas. I should have been more specific about the Roman Empire razor's. I forgot about the Augustus. The Augustus looks like a generic name swap and idk why that razor would be more expensive than the Caesar. I have the same razor as the Augustus but under the QShave brand. Don't fret however, the Augustus\QShave\ generic whatever it is lol, is a good shaving razor but the Caesar at 10$ is of overall better quality. It's heavier and the handle is more substantial. I had to go look at this stuff to refresh my memory of what's what. I have a brand new (opened but never used) Caesar id be willing to send you so you wouldn't have to order another one if you are curious enough to try it. If the Caesar is also a generic name swap, I have no idea who else uses it. If someone knows more about them hopefully they will correct me if I'm making any error's. I think I will have to go on Amazon and see what Feather has to offer.

Oh, I didn't notice that they have multiple different models. I would love to try the one you were talking about. I have an email address in the about section of my channel. Get in touch. Thanks

If you have an operation, there’s a good chance your doctor is using a feather blade to cut you. 😅. Funny thing is that very few people here in Japan use safety razors, so there are next to no choices for soaps and blades here. Feather needs to do a better job marketing at home.

Interesting point! It’s crazy how different the market is around the world.
