I prepared this lesson for my 4th graders to slow down, observe, and carefully and deliberately draw with their white charcoal pencils and exercise fine motor skills to achieve desired effects of line and texture. To overcome mistakes and try again. To push away any negative thoughts. These are no small things to growing brains and hearts. Some even surprised themselves what they created with their effort!
I invite you or your kiddo to try it out and let me know how it goes! We used generals white charcoal pencils on black Artagain paper. It’s handy to have a good manual sharpener and kneading eraser.
