Letterbox isnt always the solution as it keeps on adding black bars on the side of the screen which is kinda annoying for mobile games I wonder mr ashley on whats keeping you boys in putting Fullscreen to stretch option?

There are already fullscreen options that fill the screen - see this tutorial for more details: www.construct.net/en/tutorials/supporting-multiple-screen-17

@@construct these tutorials are using scale inner and outer Some game mechanics that has "field of view" as their core game element will make modern phones like "asus rog 5" with 20.4 : 9 (Elongated) aspect ratio will already have advantage over the phones thats still using 16:9 ratio, cause those (elongated) phones can see more of the screen, i think you know what im saying and it will question the fairness of the game :( So we just want another option to Fullscreen which is "Stretch" hmm, we dont really care if the images distorts as long as the game is fair I know its easy for you boys to make this option, but for us who dont really know how to code, its like theres barricade for us :(

@@alucardlord9032 Brawl Stars and Albion Online are popular mobile PvP games with this issue. Brawl Stars handles this by adding artificial letterboxing when a game starts, despite having a full screen display in every other case. Albion Online will display the health bars of offscreen enemies as they get closer to entering the screen. Both remove the benefit of having a bigger screen so it's fair for everyone. I don't think there's any game engine that lets you automatically stretch content up to fill the content fairly without it looking ugly, the closest you can get is scale outer/inner. At that point it's up to the designers to figure out how to make the gameplay fair despite this.
