Whilst I don't really rate Walkinshaw as team principal, what he has done with HSV and Walkinshaw Performance, especially since the closure of Holden emphasises why the business was left to him. He is an incredible businessman and clearly knows what he is talking about! And I love that he employs Australians and supports Australian businesses! My respect for Ryan has massively grown since watching last and this episode!!

Fantastic insight into a great success story that is Walkinshaw Automotive. As Ryan says, it was born out of a very sad time in the Australian vehicle manufacturing sector. Well done Gent's great story, and well done Walkingshaw and his team for committing to continuing the great heritage of specialist vehicle manufacturing in Australia.

Fantastic episode guys. Ryan is a credit to Aussie diversity, faced with the possibility of not having a business in the automotive industry he has done incredibly well to not only find a niche in the market but to expand in an industry that doesn't exist in this country any more. His father would be extremely proud. Back to you guys, keep it coming, don't worry about how long the shows are because we can always pause the show and come back later ,cheers.

As a complete Ford nut, I am so impressed because of this episode I would honestly give Walkinshaw a massive shout out. Not because of the Supercars but because of what they are achieving as a company. This is one company Australia should follow with passion and interest. Great work again Enforcer and Dude.

You guy's are LEGENDS! Every show just gets better! We as fans are very fortunate to have a show like this to watch you are both straight shooters and genuinely like what you do, it shows in every episode. Would you consider going to a drag racing meeting to look at grassroots drag racing like street and strip drag car's. You could look at the lower classes like super street, super sedan and super gas which are all nearly all based on production car's from all makes , to the higher classes like pro stock , super charged outlaws, top sportsman, top alcohol, nitro funny car's and top fuel nitro dragsters. I think it would an education for people to see what goes into all those classes, as well it is pretty exciting to watch how quick these cars accelerate .

What an episode on HSV. As a workshop owner, I have seeing so many previous Holden customer who say they rather buy a 2 odd years old Mustang and change camps to Ford rather than buy a Camaro because they worry about the conversion done here. This episode would bring customers back for sure, after seeing how it is done. Almost like going for Subway instead of Maccas.

Thanks for the mini-doco there folks. Greatly appreciated. Good to see an Aussie business able to change direction whilst facing possible closure, to not only increase their profitability, but to also possibly rescue former GM and Ford employees from the lousy (IMHO) decisions made by their bosses to close up manufacturing.

Very enjoyable show. Great interview with Ryan Walkinshaw and I loved the tour. The Camaro looks like a good bit of kit. Paul got into the groove quickly testing it. Russell don't worry, the V8 is here to stay, look at Supercars, no sign of the V6 turbo's and its back to Ford and GM running V8's, maybe it could be renamed V8Supercars.

Although being a diehard Ford fan, this is a great story and love to see that manufacturing facilities in Australia are still managing to thrive in the midst of a shut down of the automotive industry. Good to see, some type of automotive manufacturing, still going on in Australia, I think the ram should have better realibleity than jeep, a refined Chrysler product made better in Australia, I would have one and not be worried about Chrysler gremlins and it also means your not limited to Thai diesel utes. Apparently fuel economy isn't that bad, with more power and comfort than hilux and ranger, good job Walkinshaw. The amount of work in the vehicle construction is amazing and complex and should be supported in Australia and to pull something together after loosing our industry is impressive.Plus low volume, custom built, high quality product and good point, mention by the dude about footrest room, I sat in a modern converted F150 and it felt like a compromise, when you sat in the cabin, especially with that leg room and footrest

A couple of actions Ryan did in the past I disagree with. However after watching the last two episodes he sure has gained my respect. I am amazed by his new factory and the amount of work that is required in converting the left hand drive vehicles. Ryan could have easily thrown in the towel after Holden ceased manufacturing and nobody would have blamed him if he had done so. However Ryan and his team have taken on a huge challenge and are reaping the benefits from doing so. Well done.

It will be interesting to see what happens when Chas is driving for WAU next year. Chas is a driver who takes big risks and pushes to the limit (and often beyond it). He's a bit of a loose cannon on the track. It might be what they need, a driver who can really wring the cars neck and get the best out of it. Either that or he will crash too many times and incur their wrath. I'm hoping for some success, both Chas and WAU need some results, and if they can elevate themselves into a top level team it can only be good for the sport.
