OKaaaayyy. So faana time. It must be emphasised that we review movies mainly from a musical perspective and this movie has MUSIC for the days... Salim Sulaiman & Jatin-Jalit did something so intriguing, beautiful, well placed and stimulating. HOWEVER the actual script writing, plot, directing, pacing, was well.... You'll see what we think.

See guys, there are manyyyyy movies which have great music but aren't that good otherwise. The audience recommends such movies mostly cuz of nostalgia as most of ppl loved these movies when they were younger. But there are many other movies too which you guys aren't watching, which are very very good although not musically focused.

Guys please don’t watch Hum Saath Saath Hain, Hum Aapke Hai Kaun, Vivah , Maine Pyar Kiya etc. These movies are soooo long for no reason. They have paper thin plots and are what I call brainrot from the 90s. Over the top performances with cringy scripts. There are a lot of good movies that have been recommended like Queen, Dil Dhadakne Do, Rang De Basanti, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, Chak De India, Hum Tum, Dil Chahta Hai, Fashion, Badhai Ho, Welcome, Kahaani etc. You can also try old classics like Sholay, Deewar, Mughal e Azam, Chandni.

The major problem lies in their channel's paid members. I recently took their membership for one month and I saw the regular members recommending shit movies. And they only discuss with selected members and then choose the movies to react.

Nostalgia is tricky. We tend to romanticise certain memories way more then what it was. All these memories we had from those days are mostly assigned to or associated with people, places, etc. It's due to this association, the memories, etc seems closer to heart not necessarily because of the quality 🤷🏻‍♀️

I'd reccomend watching something like Udta Punjab, Haider, Rang de Basanti, Chak de India, Dil Chahta hain, Dangal etc. before you watch something like this. There are SO MANY Bollywood films that people will reccomend to you purely out of nostalgia. Heck, one of my favourite movies of all time is called Happy New Year and it is a TERRIBLY cringey movie that I would not recc at all, but I like it because it gives me nostalgia lmao. So yeah, some movies are not for foreign audiences and I think most people will recc films that THEY like instead of ones that are actually GOOD.

We need to stop demonizing Bollywood films just because they don’t always have a moral message or resemble documentaries. Bollywood is also about romantic films, outdated special effects because they’re older, and more. It can be a beautiful love story, challenges, inconsistencies that don’t stop them from being masterpieces like Fanaa, Veer Zaara, KKKG, KKHH, or in other genres, Dil Se, Lagaan, Dangal, or 3 Idiots. I know people will definitely roast this movie… Music wise this is one of the greatest masterpiece Indian Cinema has ever gifted to us !! But I would definitely like to point the fact that this movie has a lot of emotions that everyone feels from outside this world… whenever they hear the word ‘Fanaa’ … For me and my family especially my mom …. This movie holds a lot of memories and unknown emotions… I certainly understand why they didn’t get the exact emotions rightly at place… but I really appreciate their effort for watching this masterpiece…. I request my god and people all around this movie is all about emotions that has already felt in the past …. Guys, I would recommend you to check out Chandni. A timeless classic from YRF that is a romantic musical. It's beautiful through and through, each shot is a painting. A classic indeed. And you will be intriduced to a completely new starcast. Especially Sridevi ji. A must watch according to me.
