Features I'd Love in the Minecraft 1.16 Nether Update

MINECRAFT SNAPSHOT 20W06A has released, this the first Minecraft 1.16 Nether Update snapshot, and it introduces a bunch of amazing features such as: Nether biomes, Hoglins, New Redstone and block types. Today I go through a bunch of tweaks and features I personally would love to see in the Minecraft 1.16 update.

When he was talking about the netherite beacon buffs I believe he was only talking about the single ingot the beacon consumes to output the power. It doesn't matter what blocks the beacon pyramid are as long as they're Iron, Gold, Emerald or Diamond. Whereas the conduit specifically requires particular blocks in its frame.

VenomousAlex It might be temporary. Hoglings don't really work properly yet, their hitbox is too small, they don't attack you back when you attack them, etc. Mojang probably added them to make the players a little more happy, and will change a lot of things about them in future updates.

Eh maybe. I think something you could do is the crimsion does do fire resist but warped has a new effect. The effect being everything is not right. What it does as an effect any hostel mob is now counted as friendly and any friendly run away from you seeing you as evil. And things like golems will try to kill you. That way you can use it to be like a stealth thing.

I think piglin beast should be rideable, and made into a nether mount. The piglin beasts could possibly be made to travel faster on soul sand useful within the new biome or on the other hand could grunt when nearby netherwart similarly to pigs with truffles. They should still be hostile but could be tame in multiple ways, firstly you could sneak up behind them and then mount them having to continually press space to stay on kind of like a bull alternately you could breed them and have the children be non aggressive towards you. Overall I think you should have rideable piglin beasts since it fits with the whole being able to survive barley in the nether. Edit: Someone commented about a way to tame them and I thought it was also cool. As rare drop witherskeletons could drop an item called the ‘soul bone’, when dropped on the ground the piglin beast will begin eating it during that time you can mount it. Also the golden carrot idea is pretty cool

It would probably be pointless because youl cross a lava lake like every 15 seconds and there isnt much land that you can ride the hoglin on. Youl have to unmount and terra form a rideable way for your hoglin so many times because if the way the nether generates

@@ItsxX250VIPXx that's not a bad idea, but that way a big reason for why the nether is considered difficult is undermined with just taming an animal and riding it. I guess what I'm saying is that it makes the nether too easy that way. Edit: I just realized that you meant if they added a lava walk enchantment to boots, it would also be applied to hoglins. Other than a lava walk enchantment being kinda broken, it only solves half the problem, the other half being that the nether is very vertical in the way generates, which means that youl encounter very high cliffs and walls ever so often.

What? It's perfectly normal. There are many cases where you really have to have a strong piston to make a good redstone idea work. And trust me, netherite isn't that hard to get at all, especially when you can insta mine netherrack without a beacon.

Concerning bluestone, what I’d like would be the ability to combine redstone dust with a glass pane in a crafting bench, so that it would make it some “Isolated Redstone”, which we would then be able to: 1- Waterlog, meaning we can have redstone lines underwater 2- Have NOT to connect with non-isolated redstone wires, making it an approximation of bluestone

Things that I would like to see in Minecraft are: -Stone and wood doors: They look exactly like stone or planks of wood. (good for secret entrances on servers or to make a built look modern with flush walls) -More decorative blocks: bigger flower pots, actual flower beds, proper chandeliers, etc... -More weapons: spears made from two sticks and a piece of flint, a battleaxe (double-sided axe that does more damage), a quiver to hold more arrows (can hold 4 stacks or something), maybe even a different kind of sword as well? -More big structures: I know that we have forest, desert and oceans temples, pillager outposts, villages, woodland mansions, shipwrecks, nether fortresses and so on, but something that I've always wanted to find in Minecraft are castles, forts and such. Structures kind of like in the Minecraft console editions tutorials. But even bigger, and maybe even some of them are ruins. (But obviously, make these rare) -Different mob variants for different biomes: If you've ever played Terraria, then you should know that as you change biomes, the mobs and monsters change with it, and the deeper you go down into the ground, the monsters also change. It would be nice to see something like this in Minecraft, I know we have drowned zombies and husks now but it's "eh". Would like to see different zombies, spiders, skeletons and such, change their appearance (and maybe even stats and behaviours) depending on the biome you are in. Make zombies a bit darker and look kind of liker miners underground, make them look really dry in deserts, give them sort of "Tarzan" like clothing in forest areas, etc... but do this with all mobs. -Just like mumbo, I'd like to see different kinds of Redstone, I was thinking that a blue Redstone would be awesome if it could be used underwater, maybe a slime/sticky Redstone that can be placed on walls and ceilings etc... but has less range due to the thickness of the slime. That would be a super interesting feature. Furthermore, there could be a new type of Redstone torch for each type of Redstone that has the properties of each different type. (i.e blue torch can go underwater, slime/sticky torch on ceilings, etc...) -Lightsource blocks and items emitting light when you hold them!! I have wanted this feature for so long now!! The ability to just quickly scout a cave without having to place any torches! Or just wandering outside in the dark in a forest without having to place down any torches!! This feature could be very cool with the implementation of blue torches, because it would make exploring shipwrecks and especially oceans temples much easier, without having to bring lanterns along with you and placing them underwater without having much time to do so. (I know there is a mod that adds this, and Optifine does it as well, but it would be nice to see it as an official feature) And finally, I would love to see some new strong doors like irons doors, it is getting old now seeing the same door 10 years in a row any time you want that door to be opened with Redstone or just not at all. A stone door, an obsidian door, a basalt door, and so on, all with the same properties (maybe apart from the obsidian one that will be require a diamond pickaxe to brake). When I refer to a stone door, I'm not talking about the same door as I mentioned previously, this door will be like Stone Brick if you will. Whereas the other one will look just like stone and be able to be opened by hand, the same as the wooden one that I also mentioned. There are many many more little things I would like implemented into the game but I understand that some of the features will take away from the feel of the game and will completely change how it is played. Netheright arrows. They take longer to pull back in both a regular bow and a crossbow, and won’t be able to fly as far as regular arrows, but it can do more damage. (works with infinity and quick charge)
