Features and a look through the manual of the Victrola "8-In-1 Nostalgic Entertainment Center (aka the VTA-600B) ...
A surprisingly useful device that allows you to record your records, CDs, tapes digitally to a USB stick... You can even record from two different auxiliary jacks... Or from a Bluetooth source.
Or course, it does play records, CDs and tapes.. And the radio... Or a USB stick, or anything you plug into the auxiliary jack or send via Bluetooth.
It comes with speakers built in and will fill a basic room with music.
Pretty cool compared to what I was originally thinking!

I must say that the unit works much better than I thought it would. I cannot use the volume 30 max because it's too loud, and I'm hard of hearing! The sound quality is much better than expected. You have to be very fussy to to complain about the sound of this unit for the price it cost. I'm so glad I didn't pay attention to the negative reviews.

Absolutey.. Any speaker system that had a stereo headphone hack can take the headphone output.. You can also use adapters if you want to plug this into a main system..

So when you're recording vinyl to USB stick...... you push "record" and the screen says "ready" ..... so when does it start recording, once the needle makes contact with the record???

Yes, the device has some type of audio level threshold sensor that will begin recording when it senses sound over a certain decibel... I noticed sometimes with vinyl you might miss the first fraction of a second of the beginning of the song, and what you can do is either bring back the needle (and then edit that first part out).. or hold the needle a little down when on the cue part of the record and that will cause the device to start recording... i am going on memory on this and no longer have the item in my possession...

Looks like that is not an "regular" option.. You could get and adaptor for the headphones in the front as long as you were running to powered speakers or an amp/receiver connected to its speakers..

You would need amplified speakers. The headphone jack has a dropping resistor for both speakers that lowers the volume to the headphone jack. You would have to jump out both dropping resistors to use the output to drive separate external speakers

Does this actually record onto USB sticks? Victrola seems to be ignoring this feature. I love digitizing my vinyl onto USB sticks.

Victrola used to provide this capability. I purchased this model in July and it came with a CD to program the recording function through your computer - so the computer must be plugged into the music system for recording.

Hi ! Is there a way to do an External Speakers "Option" without using the Headphone Jack ? I'd prefer a connection mounted on the rear of the cabinet, but can't find anything other than the headphone jack on the front. I suppose I could dig into the unit and hard wire a set of output connections with an interrupt or maybe an "Output Selector Switch" , but I'd REALLY prefer not to have to ... . The 2 RCA Plugs on the back SEEM to be for input, which seem kinda silly- as anything else's "out" would LIKELY use the AUX-Out connection with the Victrola's Aux-in provided on the front, which itself kinda makes sense- as anything you'd temporarily quick-connect would benefit from this arrangement. Still- an un-amplified source might_have RCA- Outs using an RCA - _in connection on the Victrola, I guess, but anything you'd add-on using the RCA connections would LIKELY benefit from the same improved external speakers you'd want to connect to improve the Victrola's own sound output and I'm HOPING for something better than "Headphones Out" . I haven't TRIED the rear RCA connections "in" , as I don't have anything wanting an RCA Connection at its own output, even tho I DO have my 5.1 Living Room Speakers in-connected to my TV output's Fibre Optic - Out connection, but the 5.1 set DOES have a 2nd pair of inputs for RCA - L/R which COULD if the Victrola's rear RCA's were OUT instead of IN . Thoughts ? NONE of my stuff is anywhere above SOLID mid-range (with the Victrola itself being my only relatively Low-End "Compromise" - Sill (so far ) I'm QUITE happy with it (!) - but I GUESS if I went "Hi-End" I could get "Everything I want " ;=)) ! - Nice work, btw. I have a few concerns about the player (1) It doesn’t pick up most radio stations, only 5 so far even with the Antenna up and fully adjusted (2) You cannot use the system at night or in a low lit room as the controls nor the radio dial light up. Pretty cool set up, but lacking on so many ways.

Do you have broadcast stations near you. We use fm where we are because that's what most stations around us use. Some places have more am.

@@Kameron-The-Crafter yes, we use all FM stations but the device can only pick up around 5 total using the dial. All of the other stations are not able to fully dial in, lots of static, and unable to listen to the broadcast.

FYI, to fast forward the tape, push the button in half way in, it will stick and advance the tape without having to listen to the Chipmunks.

I dont still have this too look at, but you might see if there is anyway you can clean the laser with rubbing alcohol, using a q-tip.

Speed control on mine doesn't work. Whatever speed I put on, it spins 33.3. so tired of being ripped off as a consumer.

Sounds like something snapped with the mechanism to changes the speed. This is cheaper plastic that is kind of brittle and that may have happened. I no longer have the item, so I can't look at it to help. I definitely understand your feelings if you are used to quality from the mid-80s and back. You bought something and you expected that it would last for decades... Electronics, clothing, cars, ... everything! That's why I think old (especially "old new stock") stuff sells well on ebay.

That tape player is trash. I know that from experience. Mine would turn the tape into a bullet when ejected on top of sounding like garbage

Frankly don't know why these units still include cassette players. Aside from 8-tracks that is the most outmoded and unreliable audio source. In my experience the tapes got stuck in whatever unit I used and let's be honest - the tapes eventually wear out anyway. HI have a bunch of cassettes from when collecting them was a fad. Who knows how many are worn out if not unplayable? So really I don't think the player is entirely to blame - the tapes will just wear out of get stuck and tangled by their very nature.
