Omg, "Practice makes better" is what my 5 year old daughter started saying because she says no one is perfect! Loved watching this flipthrough just as much as your others. Your family is so cute, dancing in the beginning! And the tiny watercolor drawings! Augh!!

Thanks for sharing your pages. I always feel like I have to fill my entire page, and it was nice to see a few of your pages where you wrote just in the center of the page... and it looked nice. Loved the use of your little astronaunt guy throughout the month, too. I must try that next month. That will help me use up all the stickers I have. Cute Mia! :)

Oh yes, I definitely get that "fill entire page" syndrome! Sometimes I don't have much to say and white space can be nice :) Thank you so much for watching!

Beautiful! May I know how did you use the weekly and monthly sections?
@ohaijoy6 жыл бұрын
I post my monthly sections on my Instagram every month - instagram.com/ohaijoy. The weekly is used for a log of my day. It's nothing special, it's just to help me remember what I did that day. That way I can always go back to journal about the day when I have more time dedicated to it.

Hiii! I'm obsessing over hobonichi videos at the moment and yours are definitely my fav! I used to watch your videos like 4 years ago when I was using a Filofax. You have the cutest voice!! I feel like I'm fan-girling right now lol 🤩 Can I ask what you use to print your photos? I've been researching small photo printers and I'm not sure if I should spend the moolah on a selphy 😫
@ohaijoy6 жыл бұрын
OMG I remember seeing your name in the comments on my old videos. So crazy how far we've come from the very early stages of the planner craze 😄At first I used my selphy to print photos, but found that my book was getting way too thick so now I just print on regular printer paper on my regular every day printer lol. In my other memory keeping books, I still use the selphy. If it helps, my selphy has been with me for 5 years now and still works great. It's a little squeaky, but other than that, still my favorite photo printer. In comparison, I tried the polaroid zip and the colors are just not as accurate as the selphy. Hope this helps!

Thank you! My paper still buckles but not as badly as it used to. It takes practice, but I use as little water as possible. I try to make sure that the water never puddles on my paper. I also make sure it dries between each layer I put on. Hope this helps! P.S. A heat gun or an embossing gun works wonders if you're impatient to wait for it to dry :)

I have been planning a journal (maybe Travel journal size?) for a new baby (his name is Miles) in our family. I was thinking of giving it to his family on his first birthday. It will be a family story journal about his mom and dad, how they met, how they fell in love, their wedding, how they wanted a baby, etc. I always look to your posts as inspiration -I'm a traveler and my travel journals are so much better because of you. I was hoping that you would do something similar for Mia so that I can jack all of your best ideas. :) Love you much. I'll keep posting your videos on my Facebook journal groups until you're too famous to respond to posts :) Enjoy your chocolate milk tomorrow :)
@ohaijoy7 жыл бұрын
LOL Oh Bobette your chocolate milk comment is amazing. That is such a lovely idea to make a book for Miles. Sounds like a great keepsake! I'll think about it and let you know if I decide to do it for Mia, and of course will do a video. Glad you are getting ideas from my videos! That's why I make them because I get so much inspiration from other youtubers as well. The more analogue lovers in the world we have the better I say!

My daughter-in-law, who is Filipina, and nerdy, and very much reminds me of you, came over for dinner. It turns out that she's ALSO a journaler, and she's a HUGE Hobonichi lover. We spent a good chunk of time watching your Japan honeymoon trip videos. She gets it, and that's cool. ;)
