I love your videos and I would happily watch very long videos. I love all the topics you talk about but in the past I especially enjoyed your content on writing novels and internal family systems psychology but also the tarot and all the books and make up and colours. I love long videos to watch while I work. I work from home, so it's always nice to have great content to watch while I'm working. I have been doing scent bird. And I love the small bottle I get every month of the perfume. Then, I get to try different fragrances each month

Hello Christine - I agree with most of the comments below. I enjoy more “messy unstructured” videos. Longer too. Random rumblings and musing over little things. Always enjoy your past or current book recommendations. Or random makeup or perfume or kitchen gadget. That sort of stuff. I've only recently found your channel and love! Love your sticker journal, would love to see more of it. Looks like I've found a new author to try, I've never even heard of Simone St James. Have you read any of Riley Sager books? They're a little spooky with plenty of twists. Very good stories! I’m only three minutes into the video and want to comment. First, I have missed your content and have been patiently waiting for more 😊. Second, I really enjoy long form content. I personally really like to feel a connection to the channels I follow. Which brings me to number three, I really think you need to create the content you want and you will gain the audience specifically connected to you. Don’t try to create for others. Create the content you want to create and viewers will find you. And they will be your peeps, not some rando who “mean girls” you. Stepping off my soap box and going back now…

To my mind I feel like people are watching these longer videos in snippets. 7 minutes here 10 minutes there and eventually they finish the whole video but it doesn't look like they're watching the whole thing if you're looking at statistics. I don't know any of this for a fact but given that I also love to watch long form and I've heard other people do as well I imagine that's what's happening. 💕✨

From someone who cannot make shorter content to save my life, let me just tell you that the statistics mean virtually nothing in our corner of the internet ;) Things like "average watch time" can make you feel like it's not worth making longer videos because the 'average person watches 4minutes" or whatever the hell it says... BUT... for starters, the more consistently you make longer videos the *longer* that average watch time gets... my "average watch time" is like 15-ish minutes which is way outside of the norm for YT (where 4-5 minutes is actually the norm) but it's because I refuse to shut up and the people who don't mind that stick around and those who prefer short videos move along and that's just fine! :) Also keep in mind that those averages take into account people who misclick, or who 'preview' a bit of the video from their home page or subscribed page before even clicking so it's not meaningful data. I've learned over the years to just ignore the stats and do what I want cuz then your people will find you! :) I'm your people and I say talk as long as you want. Your vids are cozy and comforting to me to watch and I would be sad if your vids got shorter lol. For what it's worth and all. ;) Only like a minute and a half into your video but wanted to post this right away cuz... well.. see previous about refusing to shut up 😂🤣😂

I am only four minutes in to this video and have to say although I don’t comment much. I have been loving your content. I prefer longer videos however, I may come and go due to time restraints, but I always finish. Those 10 to 15 minute videos that people do, I don’t tend to watch because, I’m in it for the long-haul I guess. I’d rather have the option to watch 30 minutes then come back and watch 30 minutes then watch a 10 minute video.

I enjoy the long videos, but understand how short ones can increase numbers. I'm really interested im tarot, but have no clue about anything. Would doing short focus videos on different cards work for short videos in between the long ones? I would love to learn about interpetations for each card.

So my thoughts is I do gravitate towards 10-30 min videos, and I have to really be interested to stick with a 50 min video. I will watch and fast forward through a longer video, which may be where some of your 7 min watch rates comes from. I am GenX and like meat and content, but I am also very pressed for time and have MAYBE 60 min a day total for all video watching I might want to do. So if I am going to give you all of my watch time for the day it better compel me to ignore someone else. :-) My thought is make the content you want to make, and make it the length you are comfortable with. I have been struggling with all tarot content because I don’t like the current style of deck (ahem, collage) that everyone seems enamored with right now. I might be interested in your sweater weather gatherings.
