Albert, I have been testing extensively the stones I first got from you. The the 550 JIS Grit is proving to be a top notch performer. Smooth, efficient and leaves a very aggressive tooth pattern in the High Vanadium Blades I have here. I will be testing the other grits shortly. I am currently testing the Dual Grit method in which the non logo side of the Blade is sharpened to the 550 grit and the logo side of the blade sharpened at 1500 and also testing 3000 grit on said side. The results are very impressive. I cannot begin to tell you how much cardboard I've cut so far in testing. Near 50 pounds worth so far. The Dual grit method is proving to give both a keen edge that slices smoothly yet has a bite than no polished edge can give. Rather than sliding off tough cuts, it aggressively digs in and cuts like a laser. One has t be very careful of how the edge is touched as it cuts with the slightest pressure or movement. I have to tell you that the 550 Grit stone is amazing!!! ( I have much more testing planned ongoing). KnifeMaker/Retired after over 47+ years in the craft.
