❤📚📚❤️ I enjoyed The Enchanted April when I read it. Lovely Valentines Day gifts! My husband and I went to the Friends Bookstore in the Public Library, and my favorite $1 find was a Penguins hardback edition of Thomas Hardy book Far From the Madding Crowd.

My favorite Sarah sundin is until leaves fall in Paris! It was the first one I read and it takes place in a bookstore!

I did the same thing when I first tried Sarah Sundin. Wings of Glory was the first book I'd ever read by her and I loved it so much that I immediately picked up books two and 3 so I could continue. I've since read at least three other books outside this series by Sarah Sundin. I'm glad you used Sarah Sundin for my challenge. 🥰

I really need to try the Miss Reads. I have a feeling I'd like 'em. Meanwhile, I have another stack of new books, including a slipcase of Trollopes for the second half of the year. I love that Dickens book... and I'm not even a huge Dickens fan. Well... sort of. I like adaptations. I just don't enjoy reading him. But hey. He was a phenomenal storyteller regardless. EEEP! I wish you could get spine stickers for Newberry books. A great way to show off the award without ruining the covers!

Hi Mitzi another great book haul! That edition Enchanted April is as beautiful as the story! I have a similar reproduction Sherlock. So fun in that edition. Now for the Newbery my Newbery friend! I decided to spring for the special woodcut edition of The Eyes & The Impossible right when it won thinking it may go up in price. I sooooo hope it is actually a good book and didn't just win because they wanted to give Eggers the prize for political reasons. His controversies over his YA or adult books in schools makes him the perfect person for an award as a political statement. I will be reading it next month for animal on the cover and like I said, so hoping that wasn't the reason why it won, I hope it's a worthy story.

I just found out about The Folio Society this past week from a fellow booktuber. Your new Charles Dickens book is beautiful. Your sweetheart did good. 💝 Back in January, I purchased a beautiful book called The Country Diary of an Edwardian Lady by Edith Holden. I started reading it for the Cozy Cottage book club. It’s a lot to digest at once, so I’ve decided to read it throughout the year as a daily practice. 🌸

I want to read A Midsummer Night's Dream. Both my boys read it in high school, but I want to join the conversation - even if I'm a little late to the party. My friend recently purchased a Sarah Sundin (not sure which, but a standalone) that she will pass along to me. It will be my first by hat. God to hear positive things. My most recent purchases- that I was thrilled to find second hand for excellent prices - are Praying by JI Packer and Carolyn Nystrom, Gaskell's Cousin Phillis (bind up with Cranston, but I have that one already), and selected works of Grey owl, which my youngest son was interested in. That one was not priced when I spied it, just a day or so after he mentioned Grey Owl. Oh the things that make my bookishly geeky heart sing! 🤪

Great haul! The Newbery book has such a pretty cover. My local used book store had a 50 percent off sale last weekend, so I picked up As Bright as Heaven by Susan Meissner and Nicholas Nickleby. Enjoy!
