Enjoying your content. I have bass fished all my life at 68 years of age I am planning to start crappie fishing. I am learning a lot from yourself and other KZbin crappie fisherman. Keep the tips and techniques coming brother.

I'm 68 as well, been mainly crappie fishing for about the last 10 years and I love it. Less stress than bass fishing.

@@henrylewis5877Yes! Nothing like crappie fishing. Thanks for watching!

68 as as well fellas, and retired on Lake Murray SC. With several shoulder surgeries over the years, I found out I can't cast all day anymore. Been on those SLABS for a couple of years now, and won't be going back! Tight Lines! 🎣

Thank you for the info. I am trying to learn the best method.
@crappiemoment4 ай бұрын
No joking. The best method is going out on the water. That one thing will help you learn a lot. Over time you will start to see patterns and connect the dots. Thanks for watching!

Another good video. I was at Harris Wednesday in the wind and cold. I didn’t do as well as you did . It was still good to get on the water.
@crappiemoment4 ай бұрын
Nice. Always good to get out, even when the weather doesn't cooperate. Harris is a rough place with the wind. Hard to get away from the wind no matter where you are out there. Thanks for watching!

Another great video. I noticed a couple of things unusual about your setup. I don't even see your foot control for the trolling motor. Most "experts" that catch roaming fish mount the FFR transducer on the trolling motor and use foot control. Are you using the remote control and pole mount transducer exclusively?
@crappiemoment4 ай бұрын
I don't have/use foot control for the trolling motor. Just remote that I keep around my neck. Transducer is mounted on pole mount. I don't like the mount on the trolling motor. Often targeting fish in a different direction than the wind. Appreciate the support!

Hey man another great vid! although i have active target instead of livescope id really like to know your settings.

My settings are usually...Gain 65 Color Gain 80 Color Limit 0 or 40 Noise reject low or medium Ghost reject off TVG low or off Focus 150. Thanks for watching!

I didn't ask my question clear enough. What do you consider the best distance to cast (from Boat to fish)? Thanks.
@crappiemoment4 ай бұрын
My ideal range is 15-20 feet. I mostly pitch instead of casting longer distances. I like to be a little closer to the fish.
@user-qi1hp5xn6j4 ай бұрын
What is your ideal distance to cast so fall matches up with the fish depth?
@crappiemoment4 ай бұрын
I usually pitch past targets and 1/16oz usually falls about 1 foot per second. Thanks so much for watching!

Why is your depth set twice as deep as you’re fishing? Would be better livescope picture if set at proper depth.
