I love the niche recs idea! One of my all-time favorite books is one that I've never heard/seen ANYONE talk about .. not in reviews and not even in comment sections. The only reason I found the book was through the recommendations/books you may like list on amazon. The cover caught my eye and I was intrigued by the synopsis.. a lady running a quaint little bookshop in a small town, it's been passed on down through her family, she's struggling with sales because of the competetion of online stores, there is an empty lot next door that used to be a lush garden but the gate is locked.. but she is sometimes able to access it and when she enters it's been magically transformed back to its old glory... and she stumbles upon a garden party filled with authors, poets, artists from different time periods of the past... there is a bit of a romance sub-plot as well but no steam/spice... gives The Secret Garden vibes. ✨🍵🌿

Hear me out, Beautiful Ugly was SO good. It had the biggest lil hidden egg hidden throughout the book that I missed until the last chapter when Alice brought it to the open and when I tell you my jaw was one the floor for 30 min after finishing... i am not joking. It was 5 star for me!

I really liked Beautiful ugly, gave it 4 stars! Almost one too many twists imo. But I really disliked I who have ever known men bc I thought it was gonna be how you described it and it’s not 😢. It’s very slow too
