Hey Febrith! Huge fan, so happy you added this to your queue to review :), I helped make this mod with Shiva on Ps4 so it's only using vanilla assets at the moment, we moved it over to Nexus hopefully to be able to give it all the extra updates it deserves like spouse and adoption support possibly and a few well needed better textures. I'm gonna go tell Mammoth and Shiva now, thank you so much again, you were the first and only person I would have asked to give this mod a playthrough.

Ilinalta Lake Lodge used to be my favorite home, but after seeing this video, I’m going to start a new game and download this instead! I have a week off from work coming up and it’ll be the perfect time to give it a test run on my Xbox One!! Far more spacious and prettier! Plus it’s still in my favorite spot in the game (I LOVE lakes) Plus with all the huge inventory in the back room at 13:24 looks like I don’t need the Hendraheim creation club home anymore. I like that the merchant at 3:12 sells you the creation club ingredients so you can get them right away

It takes a disturbed mind to put spiders over the entry door to the main house (says the seriously arachnophobic respondent.) Only kind of spiders I like are dead ones. Let the skeevers eat them. Actually...have you ever seen a mod that includes skeevers, or have I mentally blocked out any such memory?

Outside "potting shed." Unique! Really nice veranda...sunshine at any time of day. I see the Dragonstone from Bleak Falls Barrow. And a raven...having a pet raven is nice...shades of Nocturnal. And crabs. And Magic Robes on hangers...in the right area. You could switch from one to another depending on whether your alchemying (new word...made that up) or enchanting (old word, not taking credit.) Mounted "Giant Dissuaders" atop the towers. Giants roam the area as I am sure you know. Cellar...well, where else would you put your "Visiting Vampire Suite?" With a portal to Castle Volkihar. Vampiric guests can go home via the ...subway? (Might be tough to put a mod portal inside Castle Volk. I don't mod so not sure. I just look at them, don't know how to make them work.) You could seriously spend 20 minutes in every room just cataloging the contents and remembering where they came from. Blue flames....Dawnguard. Lot of stuff from Blackreach. Might be a "bit" too cluttered for my taste, but I do admire how he set up the bookcases. I have to have a library in every one of my homes. And using the aquariums as display areas. Liked the little one in the children's area, like a toy playset for "Adventures of the Dragonborn" games, complete with mini DB, Princess and Dragon.

Wow! This is beautiful, but kind of too much! My OCD brain is going into overload mode 😬☺️😋🥹…I don’t even build all of the options on a regular hearthfire house 😅…I love the lil crabs everywhere, though! I love when my son, Blaise, brings a crab home to be a pet! 🥰…they are nice and quiet and always tidying up 😉

i have modded hearthfire homes and i would tell everyone to just avoid it all possible. its an utter nightmare so this author deserves props for touching lakeview and not wanting to destroy their PC and hating the creation kit and bethesda in the process. love the home!

@@FebrithDarkstar LOL you know, I knew it was Awesome but my brain wasn't connecting the circuits because it's my most favorite little mod of Skyrim but it's soooo old and really doesn't work properly anymore and they never really finished it as some models aren't covered. I spent a month on and off trying to understand how it worked. But peering into the files it was beyond me. You can't really even patch it that easy (at least not me) as it's a complicated system of moving meshes and texture calls and all the crap that just melts granny's brain haha. If it's working for you, I mean totally working on all models etc. please do share your secret! hehe

Nice review, thank you. It's a lovely idea, but would like the updates to be cannon with each house. It lost me when I saw all the Dwemer Mechanics. Nope not at Lake View. Maybe a Dwemer Home, but not Lakeview. I'd love to see the houses updated, but want it done in a way that honors the house's history. Otherwise might as well just get another house. A little too many loading screens, looking a little Sims 4ish. This is a home extra NPC's should be housed in a bunk house, barn, or store front on road. Are we sure the black isn't a place-holder for missing texture?

Skyrim needed a few things that Fallout 4 had. Building your own settlement or hold and having to properly man and defend it from your own villagers would have added a great deal of depth to the game and a whole other reason to play. Also, in Fallout 4, you can see through your house windows outside. In Fallout 4, that isnt anything special because the world is ugly and bleak, but Skyrim is beautiful, and offers many great views, the players houses should be seamless without any loading, and the players able to see through the windows outside in real time. Its supposed to be the same graphics engine as Fallout 4, so I am positive they could have done it.

I'm trying to finish a mod with just vanilla assets but I'm having a hard time staying motivated. It's hard but I'm going to keep the parameters I've set for myself. As for pets, we just have a kitten. She found us at a gas station in August. She is still wild as snot but coming around. Her name is Daro'Lani. ("Thief Lani" in Khajiiti) She's definitely an Alfiq. We lost Ketulah dog last summer and haven't gotten another puppy. We had her for almost 14 years. I'm still heartbroken. My son is breeding his German shepherd this week so we will get a puppy from him when they are weaned. Hopefully this pup will help fill the void.

Ketulah was the best dog even when she was tearing through walls and breaking windows. I've only seen my husband cry twice in our 30 years of marriage, once for our parrot and the second time was for Ketulah. He loved her almost as much as he does our kids and grandkids. This pup will have some big paws to fill. BTW I love the new screen art. Very pretty.

Why won't anyone work with Winstad manor? It has the ONLY hatchery where you can breed the new fish introduced by fishing. It is gorgeous to swim in with alll the new pretty fish.

eh...no. I know you'd love this. This isn't right up your alley, it's the address! But not for me. The black walls and the brown brick (or is it wood?) are not pleasing to me at all. And once you got inside it was an ocular overload. This is what I imagine living in a very colorful antique/Halloween store would look like. The mudcrabs were cute, though.

A few weeks ago I installed one of the other vanilla homes after watching one of your vids and I completely forgot I already had a mod for the same home installed from yet another one of your vids. It dawned on me when I walked inside and there was clutter EVERYWHERE and I couldn't get up the stairs because a rug was in the way. Duh. Not making THAT mistake again.
