Thank you. What if patients already ingest Pancreatic enzymes regularly? Does it distort the outcome of the different tests? Do they have to wean themselves off? If yes, how many days before the test? Have a nice day :)

To summarise, what is gold standard test for pancreas? I have cysts, largest 6.2mm on tail, suspected side branch ipmn at 39 years old. Gastro does not think its of any concern, even though i have bad ibs and constant loose stool. He has ordered fecal elastase, and says maybe mri in 5 years. Should i suggest/insist any other tests?
