FedCon 31 Stargate Panel - Rick, Amanda, Michael, Ben, Teryl and Joe (28.05.2023)

Hey everyone
I attended FedCon 31 and was especially stoked about all the Stargate panels with Amanda Tapping (Sam Carter) and Richard Dean Anderson (Jack O'Neill). 😍 This is the Stargate panel on Sun, May 28. with Richard Dean Anderson (JackO'Neill), Amanda Tapping (Sam Carter), Michael Shanks (Daniel Jackson), Ben Browder (Cameron Mitchell), Teryl Rothery (Janet Frasier) and Joe Flannigan(John Sheppard). ⭐️⛩
Before the FedCon 31 weekend I had not used my camera for recording something like a panel, so it is not perfect. I don’t know what happened, but the screen behind the actors is flickering. Also you can hear me taking pictures with another camera. Sorry about that. 😢
I still hope that you enjoy watching this as much as I do. This group of people is just awesome. 🤩

Thanks for this great upload! After watching lots of cons and interviews over the years, finally, this one got a fantastic atmosphere. Really cute when Michael can't stop laughing about Rick's jokes. 😅

ALL Stargate SG1 and Atlantis on my Plex and watched on rota ! Loved all the characters and the actors 🙂. It must be great to be able to ask them a question, although a bit weird, because as a fan, you have a connection and affection for people who you don't really know as they are not playing themselves and they certainly don't have a clue about who you are and why you even watched them playing with each other!! 🤔 If I went up to ask a question, I don't think I would. I would ask them to ask me as a fan, a question, just out of curiosity !

RDA, Tapping, Judge and Shanks !!! And Browder and Black !!!! Amazing show. And that was just 8-9pm Fridays. Then came 9-10pm with Flanigan, Higginson, Mamoa and Hewlett!! And Staite !!!! Such epic shows... and all the others from Gen Hammond to Frasier to Skaara and heck even that Tollan lady to all the Michaels/Todds/wraith and Genii and Kolya and Woolsey and others. Such a shame SG1 and Atlantis and Universe were killed in their primes when they each had at least 3-4 season left in them. Atlantis had easily another 6-7

Yes, I miss SG1 and SGA too. I was annoyed about SGU already, because of SGA being canceled and because they did SGU instead of the promised SGY wrap-up movie and because it didn´t feel like Stargate at all.

Would be really cool if they did a whole new sci-fi movie or show and cast a bunch of Stargate alum. Have them play people who are quite different from their original characters, see if they can pull of a new chemistry.

I get that people are crazy insane nuts for the show & the characters, I loved ALL the shows (not so much Universe) but I felt bad for the actors answering such tedious & uninspiring questions...Like who would you want to play you in a reboot? Would Macgyver still be a vegan? What planet would you live on?? How about some questions about the person themselves or how they got the job? I especially felt bad that Joe Flanigan didn't get the love he deserved for such a good spin off Atlantis.

I like him! I recommend to go to conventions. It´s fun. Whoever gets the chance, can ask pretty much what they want. Sometimes though, they ask you not to ask too personal questions. On the Fedcon, it is to be expected that some fans suffer from severe hangover, because the parties go all night, especially when the weather is good, and it was in that year. At least everybody speaks English (as good as they can), and nothing has to be translated into the native language, like, for instance, on most conventions in France. In defence of the guy who asked the reboot question: the constraints were: "Wrong answers only, and no musical instruments!" Rick and Michael took the question the right way!
