Thanks!! It is called Captain Sheperd's Quickstep by Claudio Grafulla. It uses 2 tunes-"Old Folks at Home" and "Oh, Boys Carry Me Home." It is on our latest CD "Better Than Rations or Medicine"

Gives me goosebumps to listen, knowing I had ancestors on my dad's side fighting on both sides that probably heard this music before going to war!

Outstanding musicianship. The music is perfectly in tune and those antique instruments are a bearcat to keep in tune.

Soul stirring! I can imagine how the music uplifted Confederate soldiers' spirits, especially after a battle.

Very good music; I would really enjoy attending a concert of this group. It's neat that it's played on old instruments.

Wonderful music, thanks for posting! Could you possibly tell me the name of the first tune played? It sounds quite familiar to something I might have heard during one of the reenactments I went to during my exchange year in the US. Many thanks in advance!

@us19 That is really a shame, it is a fine old tune.
