Chad. Recently found your channel again, I had seen a few videos a year or so ago. Never been to prison or jail ( in a serious way) but your ability to speak so clear and descriptively about your experiences along with how good of an interviewer you are makes your content fascinating! You know all the right questions to ask and can steer the conversation in a way to keep it engaging from beginning to end while allowing your guest to talk and answer without interruption (which is a refreshing concept nowadays) but ya do it in a way as to not glamorize but teach and explain the dangers and seriousness of prison as well as how broken the justice system actually is. But Iv been going further down the rabbit hole of ‘Blood on the Razor Wire’ for days now and I’m still completely captivated. Awesome work bro

Worst thing I’ve done is run a red light. But I found myself in jail for 72 hours until the charges were dropped by the PD. Those 3 days felt like months. When I got out I was in shock for like a week. So for people to do DECADES in prison and can get released and then talk about openly is serious strength. I’d say I had PTSD after 3 days so I can only IMAGINE what released convicts experience in their own heads.

It just blows my mind that these prison officials think that severe isolation and mental illness will get better in prison. You can’t lock humans away like dogs and expect them to be reformed or rehabilitated. It makes no sense. It turns people who are struggling into worse people and in many ways more prone to violence. It’s been studied and we still do it.
