trainz675 It's probably just the wind. 2001's raise pitch when facing into the wind if they are really high pitched. If they're recieving the proper amount of voltage, it would actually be lower pitched than this

Joplin, MO has this sirens as well. They sound on May 22, 2011 just before 5:41PM.

@Siren1000T1 There wasn't really a siren that "replaced" the 500AT, but a Modulator was placed nearby and I have got a video of that. (The Mod in attack) Yeah, to be quite honest my interest in sirens hasn't really been there. But it is picking back up so I'll probably be recording more sirens if time permits.

I miss the Thunderbeams, there was also a Thunderbeam right outside SHMS; I could see it from my 7th Grade History class, which luckily i was in every day at noon.

Tyler Copeland Federal Signal makes new sirens for profit. One siren can’t do everything. The 2001-130 has its place in their lineup of sirens, and it’s current purpose is to serve as an alternative (and also lower cost siren) for areas with higher ambient noise levels, as they have been proven to outperform lower pitched sirens in those settings. The Equinox serves the purpose of being a lower pitched projectional siren that’s more affordable than most others, while the 508 is their flagship. The Eclipse is marketed as an affordable omnidirectional siren that is primarily aimed toward small towns. The Modulator meanwhile serves as a public address siren that is able to broadcast live or prerecorded voice, along with traditional siren tones. They are not marketed to be used for full systems, but some places will anyway.
