Nice, you have a lift gate I work at Estes Express most of the time I get a 53' and I have to unload without a liftgate or unload in a residential neighborhood

Trust me I know the feeling. We don’t have many at our yard and they’ll be times when we really need them, sometime we met up with a box truck and move freight over so we can use the liftgate

I was just offered a job with Fedex Frieght as a driver road apprentice. Based on my research and reading employee reviews, it seems like a really good company to work for that pays really well. I have 3 years of experience driving a school bus part-time. I have my class A permit and just past the doubles and triples, tanker, and Hazmat endorsement tests. Any adivise or thoughts about Fedex would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for them video.

Congrats on the apprentice position. I did the city apprentice route myself. In my opinion the training is top notch, I learned a lot and the fact that it’s one on one is an added plus. I came from bus driving myself 7 years between Greyhound and CoachUSA. Getting my class A was the best move I made. Working for FedEx by far the best job I’ve ever had. Great environment fair company and very lucrative. Just take in everything they teach you, be safe and trust me you’ll agree you’ve mad a good choice.

Quick question: Like I mentioned above I was offered a road driver apprentice position with Fedex Frieght exactly a week ago today, via email. I accepted the position. The email said to keep watch for future emails on the next steps I need to take. I have not received any emails thus far. My question: How long after receiving the job offer and accepting it does the hiring process usually take i.e., back ground check and everything else before you get a start date? I have a job (Patrol Deputy) so I'm not hurting or impatient, but I am really curious because most places usually get back ground checks and everything else done first before offering you a job. Answers from other Fedex Freight drivers would be appreciated as well. Thank you.

@@walterwilkinson9221 with Covid going around my hiring process took 4-5 months. I got the offer letter via email then the terminal manager called me a few days later to set up a start date. Once I was in it went rather quickly after that
