I think he was good, but he was good in an era when fighters were just becoming well-rounded. Heavyweight has also always had the issue of just not having the depth of other weight classes. The guys he beat in Pride did okay in the UFC, but they also didn't run through heavyweight as unquestioned champions. The best heavyweight for a long time was a light heavyweight (Randy Couture). LHW has had its ups and downs, but it has had the scariest guys alive at times. When someone like Jon Jones goes up, no one ever thinks the reverse... "if that heavyweight lost 80 pounds, he would run through LHW." So, the Last Emperor sat on a tarnished throne in a small kingdom in my opinion.

It was really sad that so many boxers back in the day got ripped off. It was hard for them to ask for the money because their managers/promoters who were in cahoots would pay their rent, buy them food, pay for doctor visits for the pregnant wife etc, etc. Then when the fighter sees no money from the fight they just did they are afraid to speak up.

Absolutely! They have been at the top of the " greatest of all time " list for 10 years. Both are 44. Anderson Silva is a 6'2, 210, 215 walk around. We saw he fought at light heavyweight was equal in aspect to them. Fedor 5'11, 235 a small heavyweight that is pudgy, carrying around 20 lbs of fat all the time. A catch weight of 210 or maybe 205. Definitely would be epic. As both of their last fights.

When he fought James Irving, Forrest Griffin, Stephen Bonner, Daniel Cormier,,it was obvious he was a true light heavyweight. Silva cut 25- 30 lbs to get to 185, ( water weight too), he was an extremely thin 185. But, at 205 he was actually fit perfectly. A true light heavyweight at 6'2, 205. I'm really shocked he didn't go for the 205 belt,,as he made it look easy against, Irving, Griffin, &, Bonner, arguably better then at 185 fights. Fedor, is a really small heavyweight that carries around 20 lbs of fat. He's a true light heavyweight, that just decided not to cut.

If you took added 10 up and comer fights that most people have to the start of his record, and then look at the rest of it with fresh eyes (pretends it’s some dude named John SmIth’s record who has no interesting background) you’d be like “wow this guy beat Randy Couture, Frank Mir, he snapped Shan Carwin’s crazy 12 or 13 fight winning streak that was entirely first round finishes, then he loses to Cain and Reem-no shame there-only to come back and beat Mark Hunt after like 6 years of not fighting when Mark had just been a title contender one single fight earlier, wow that’s amazing” Brock’s record at the elite level is very similar to a lot of guys record at the elite level (once you get past gatekeepers it specially, once you’ve fought for your first title, you’ll notice most of the best guys are barely .500 if they’re lucky) Brock just skipped the early part (which he would’ve crushed with absolutely no question) And if the man had more experience and had started younger? He could’ve been GOAT

If you listen to what Aleks has said, he never bad mouthed his brother. He bad mouthed his management. He said everyone around Fedor were trying to make money off of Fedor's name. I'm just guessing, and I'd be wrong to assume I know anything. But It seemed Aleks knew a lot of dirt, but Fedor is a honorable man, that no matter what , will honor his contact. Maybe M1 Global had something in a contract on Fedor. I don't know. Either way Scott Coker thinks the world of Fedor, and Fedor said many times Scott takes excellent care of his fighters. I'd like to see Fedor and Aleks patch things up, and both fight in the same promotion again. Aleks don't move anymore when he fights. He just keeps inching closer and closer, then starts throwing bombs... Lol.
