On serious note... Fedor used to be an amazing submission artist, look his record up - back when he was on a roll he was submitting guys left and right, and now he relies only on his hands even though his chin is GONE. Sad to see favourite fighters deteriorate not only in physical department but in technical arsenal as well.

You're wrong, Chael. His team was quoted shortly before or after the Mark Hunt fight saying Fedor has become slower. He was already past his prime in late 2006. His reflexes and punches have clearly become slower. This happens with age. Fedor has also been quoted saying he stopped lifting heavy. Ultra-sharp reflexes and fast, powerful punches were the glue that kept Prime Fedor's skill set together. He's still an extremely strong grappler, but his stand-up is completely shot. And it's not just because his chin is gone

Oh Uncle Chael, you're usually on point with your assessments but you're so wrong about Fedor: 1. SKILLS: Now Fedor only "boxes" (brawls, to be honest). That is it. No Wrestling, No Judo, No G&P., no submissions. 2. WEIGHT: Fedor used to weigh at 235/6 in his prime. But a solid 235. Muscles not fat like now. 3. EXPLOSIVENESS: It's not there anymore; his opponents read everything he's doing before it happens. 4. PRIME: Fedor is clearly, clearly past his prime. At least 10 years past. There is consensus about this judging on his body, skills, fights outcomes, and above, his ability to take damage. Fedor has become a one dimensional brawler, unfortunately...

@Anthony Smith yes, but when Chael is talking about the legends/ legacies of Fedor and Rampage, he's talking about Pride. And Chael has said time and again that Pride was fixed.

AM G good point 👍. Uncle Chael always tries to avoid negatively affecting matchmaking or the promotion of fights because of his respect for the fighters trying to make a living.
