I’m actually having some fuel issues now. I’m running a stock tank with a sump in my 85 347 carb setup using a holley blue dead headed. Pump is on the steel bumper about an inch above the sump. All of a sudden about 1k miles later the pump won’t prime with less than about 4-5 gallons In the tank Basically I have to run a half tank of gas minimum. -About a foot of10an to the filter and pump then -8an to the front. I’m debating using a fuel injection tank and figuring out how to regulate it down to 6.5 psi for the carb. Or a fuel cell In the spare tire well ?? I changed the pump cleaned the filters and it’s all new stainless fuel line. Any ideas or help would be great.

Today i installed it. I drilled out the connector like you did and open the holes slightly with a stepper drill. Everything worked like a charm. If anyone is doubting this mod or dont think its worth the hassle, it is very much worth it! My car with the 340 stealth pump, holley 48lb injectors was dropping fuel pressure from 67pounds at 5100rpm 6.5 psi boost to 36 to 40 pounds of fuel and 7.8 ish psi boost at 5500. Duty cycles were 100% to 110%. These 48s shouldnt have been nowhere near 100% on my set up. So after i finished the 10 gauge wire upgrade i did a data log and wow!!! At 6,000 rpm my fuel pressure was 60psi at 8.0 psi boost with 84% injector duty cycle. The rest of my fuel system is stock 1993 5.0..thanks again man! This shit works!!!! Lol
