Unless we've got wingers putting in crosses I am worried Fulk won't get goals. If I'm not mistaken, wasn't Haller and Scamacca failures because we didn't feed them crosses. Whereas I thought we were looking for a young strong forward that could drop deeper and pick up the ball and run. An independent striker. More like an Antonio. Moyes wouldn't change it up before but maybe Floppy will.

Seee, this is what I meaaan, Russ. Who was the last person standing on the Mavropanos hill, when everyone in the summer was saying he aint all that, blah, blah, blah. I told yoou,. I told everyone. He was poorly managed by Moyes. Have I not said that all the way? Just listen to me. I know this team, mannnn. Was saying it all last year. Mavropanos has gone UNDER the radar for how excellent of a signing he was. Largeley because how good Alvarez and Kudus were. Something like 18 million. He's quality. 6'5, Strong, Fast, Confident on the ball. Ok, he still needs to settle down a bit but we see that with JCT when he played. We have 3 outstanding CBs. The players need to be proud of being part of such an outstanding group atm, and attack the league. I can not begin to reel of the accolades for some of these players. I could say phrases that genuineley sound absurd in writing and all true. I'll start. "2X Copa America and 1X world cup winner" "Germany's number 9", Best left footed English CB in the past... ever", best defensive RB in the country, a player that has won every European club competition of note, Jamaica's number 9, Mexico's captain, Czech republic's captain, Africa's best player... could go on and.... on. This group need to respect themselves. Massiveley. I still believe we can do great things this year. #COYI

England were better with Bowen up front than with Kane, so will Lope come to a similar conclusion concerning Fullkrug and Bowen? I think it's highly likely given Fullkrug is quite slow and Kudus is being wasted on the left. My solution would be Summerville, Paqueta, Kudus and Bowen as the front 4, bring on Fullkrug as an impact sub?

Fullkrug was alright. I wouldn’t over egg the pudding. I would imagine his heat map would show a 5 x 5 box around 10 yards from goal. His goal was a two yard tap in. And after he was subbed off Germany scored 4 more. I thought Bowen was very good at F9. Granted he played a terrible, beaten and exhausted Ireland side, but he could only play what was in front of him. He was great.

If Ings had been played to his strengths he would have scored more (you can interchange Ings for Haller, Scamacca etc)

We have to stop isolating the lone striker. We should have learnt by now following our mistakes with Haller and Scamacca. None of them are crap players. We just aren't using them properly. Bowen even struggled up top all alone last season. His best position is on the right. Play Paqueta as an 8, Kudus as a 10, have the wide players or wingers up closer to Füllkrug

0:52 - No, there isn't. There is nothing to take away from the international break in relation to West Ham. International football and the PL are so vastly different, I can not even begin to explain. Ive just used my good friend Open Chat and some of the players who STARTED for Hungary play for the following teams.. Ferencvárosi TC, Pisa SC, Grasshopper Club Zürich, Puskás Akadémia. This is the quality of side your talking about. Clutching at straws, much?

@@elysium1977 It's a mixture of 'thinking' and 'hoping'... i'd say alot of it is more so 'hope', but either way, it still makes no sense. Here are some of the teams that players play for who STARTED for Hungary... Puskás Akadémia, Grasshopper Club, Zürich, Pisa SC, Ferencvárosi.. Theres also some more from some at least recognizable sides in Europe like Hertha Berlin and Freiburg (again, that's in the starting line-up) and even sides like that would get absolutely smashed to pieces in the PL despite being able to cope in other highly thought of European Leagues. We need a new CF next summer. I can not stress that enough. I keep stressing this; Tim has done an OUTSANDING job thus far but that window was not perfect. I love Guilherme and want him to blossom and honestly think Fulk is an important member of the side, but if you asked me outright would I of rathered Duran for both Guilherme and Fulk, the answer is a resounding YES. I have backed Antonio to the hill, and have never screamed for a striker in summers prior to this, but this was the summer IMO to get it done and if i'm completely honest, I don't think we did a good enough job of it. I'd still personally start Antonio, with Fulk coming on for the last 30-35 minutes , but in the summer, at least from what Ive seen thus far, I could be wrong, but in my opinion we need to revisit CF. Thats just my opinion. Whether its move Fulk on and offer a Antonio an extension as back up or simply keep Fulk and go all out for another CF, I feel like its an area that needs to be addressed if we are really going to pull up trees in the PL in the next 3,4 years. Antonio and Fulk between them I think have enough to give across this season but both are the wrong side of 30 and it wont get any easier for them moving forward. Again, just my opinion at this stage. I trust them to carry out the job between them to a top, top level but I don't see how long that will last. All this chat and Danny Ings is sitting there doing FALL on a 125K a week. This is why you cant really blame Tim. Look at what he's inherited. Keep going, Tim. Keep, going Lop is all I have to say. We need to keep supporting the boys as they are an outstanding group of players but the work doesnt stop here! #COYI

I learnt one thing....Fulkrug scores goals. Stop trying to change the way strikers play. We need Antonio out, not trying to change Fulk into another Antonio. We as a club are effing shite. Play him to his strengths not what antonio might do. FFS.

Um here's an idea .....how about we change everything about the team ...the formation, the style, the personal.... just to accommodate 1 player, a player that doesn't suit us, a player of a similar style of player that's failed at our club time and time again.....a player that should never have been signed in the first place !!! So Fullkrug scored against Hungary, well whoop-de-fuggin-do !! Most of the Hungary side would struggle to get into Championship teams !!! Fullkrug scoring against Hungary is about as impressive as Ings scoring against Dagenham!!! You can keep rolling the Fullkrug turd in glitter as much as you want ...its never going to shine !!!

@damiandamico4715 totally agree....far too much of a Fullkrug bias on here at times, so Fullkrug scored against Hungary....it proves nothing , definitely Hungary are a poor side who's defenders are all playing for teams in lesser countries. It's like saying Ings should be starting because he scored against Dagenham in the friendly!!! The Premier league is harder and faster than any league in Europe, it has the fastest and best defenders.....Fullkrug is going to struggle!!! To say "feed him and he will score" is ridiculous, for starters we do not play with orthodox wingers ....crossing for a center forward is not what Bowen, Kudus or Summerville are about and Wan-Bissaka is not known for his crossing.....They can keep rolling the Fullkrug turd in glitter ... but it's never going to Sparkle !!!

Sorry but Fullkrug is the wrong striker for us, ye is too slow and will struggle against Premier league defenders.... he is far too reliant on needing service from wingers ...Bowen and Kudus are more like inside forwards, I'm sorry Fullkrug is a very poor signing and a waste of money

You have to make your own luck, which in all honesty, I dont see Fulk doing against better sides in the Prem. I see it from day one.. terms which will be used to defend Fulk this season.. "Needs more service", "Style of play", "Settling in".. We see it with Scamacca and even worse, we see it with Ings.

@@dannyovid8139 Honestly, I seriously think our best way to go about this season is make that 9 spot both Antonio's and Fulks for the entire season. Have them enjoy working for and with each other. I would let Antonio go and give his best 60 odd minutes and then have Fulk come in against a tired side for 35 minutes. Then you have the likes of Summerville, Bowen, Kudus, Paqueta etc, playing towards a fresh, mobile target all game. Antonio still has that bit more pace from the start, will pull defenses around, press and offer runs in behind. Fulk is a big, strong target man. He's not slow, but if he leaves it all on the pitch for 30-40 minutes against tired sides he will have one contribution at one stage (minimum) I think that could contribute to a goal or assist against tired legs. They are both 30+ and CF is the toughest job on the pitch. I say that every season in defense of Antonio. The players we have (adding Summerville especially) makes the job easier than it was much of last season. Going back to last season; and I have to say this.. because it's FACT!... Antonio started last season well; getting goals against good sides, leading the line like a champ etc. and Moyes (to accommodate) JWP went and played Paqueta LMFFFFF! Leaving Antonio EVEN further isolated. Crazy. He (Antonio) references that period in his 'High Performance' interview. I said it to someone on Twitter, watch the crowd turn on Antonio despite him doing exceptionally well at the beginning of last season)..He (Moyes) shifted Paqueta to LM and he's NOT A WINGER and MA become FURTHER ISOLATED. Shocking. We need to go for it now. Antonio for 60-65, Fulk 30-35 and let them rotate minutes across the season. The game has changed. CF is one role row. People used to play 2 up top. Have 2 people make that shirt their own like Andy Cole, Dwight Yorke, Sheringham and Solsjkaer did between 2 for Man United in the 90's. The ultimate objective is the team. Always.
