On today's episode we discuss about some of the recent feedback we received from the online community about our recent interview with Skydio's Adam Bry. We discuss certain comments received about their take on Skydio and Adam Bry and elaborate on our view in the larger fight on DJI, Chinese technology and bans in the US. We discuss blanket bans and the overall need for having comprehensive knowledge prior to making decisions that impact the industry as a whole.

Subscriber count doesn't mean you're better than others. Cool your KZbin ego a bit. Maybe ol "9 subscribers" is too busy flying commercially to worry about KZbin videos.

What the hell is wrong with you people?? KZbin is part of the Drone U business model! Subscribers DO matter for them. I've spent a year learning about his topic and working on my Part 107, and these guys are certainly at the top of my list for valuable information.

It was a good interview that needed to happen. He doesn’t owe anything to anyone in the consumer/prosumer realm and didn’t need to sit down for an interview.

I don’t believe you are selling out. Your views are very well reasoned. I definitely understand and appreciate the security issues. However, I am very concerned about the effect a DJI band would have on people trying to start a new drone service business with limited resources. It would be very hard for me to justify spending $20k-$40k just on a single aircraft when I’m just getting started when I can get equivalent capabilities for $5k-$10k. Sure, I may not be able to fly missions for critical infrastructure, but I would still be able establish my business by flying missions for commercial construction, agriculture, etc.

I'm in the same boat. One of my main concerns is the number of people getting into using drones, which makes it more difficult for all of us to make money. I've decided that if the cost of my first drone goes to 20K, then there will be less competition, and I'll need to get more serious about this endeavor.

You can see my sub count if you want. I am not doing much commercial work as I make videos for myself and if people watch them fine, I just enjoy EVERYTHING about building and flying quads/drones. I watched your interview and I loved it. I enjoy hearing about all sides of a topic and can't stand echo chambers. I learn something every time that fills in some blanks that I didn't even know I had and that's what I'm after when it comes to content. You provide that. I type this from my hotel room in Longmont... Might see if I can find you guys and drop in sometime as I work in Boulder quite often and live in Castle Rock.

What would be the ideal 1st "drone" to get? And is the FAA and 107 thing a real necessity? If so, should that be the first thing to address before buying a drone? And sounds like I do not need to get a DJI...

Subscriber count is irrelevant. People with few subscribers have been out working at their job which is not being a youtuber. My social media and website suck completely because I just haven't had time to focus on that. Doesn't make my opinion any less valid or facts that I present less than factual.

Great video! I love dji drones, I disagree with some of what was said and have been an advocated for them but was unaware of some of the problems like the data sync issue. I myself am a college student who was able start my own business through dji since their products are offered so affordably. That is one thing I wish America had and would take charge in like you stated subsidies in the drone industry. Its very frustrating seeing America basically dodging the competition and then being surprised when the massive foreign company looks to present its own problems! Make it here, make it affordable, and make it good and we would have no problems!! Yall did great giving your perspective once again great video!

After basically having my credit card out to purchase the DJI I3, I’m out. There’s no way I’m going to spend that money on the best drone for my uses if there’s a possibility it will be a paperweight in a year. I’ll keep limping along with my Sony Airpeak, exchanging batteries every 8 minutes thank you very much. Great synopsis guys. Looks like good bye DJI!
