Another great video with good tips . Great venue Jamie I love river fishing . Here in Ireland the 1 thing I have not been able to catch fish with is dead maggots on the hook no luck what so ever . Maybe the fish are finicky . ? Well done mate great session.

Hi Jamie, that is a nice catch on a tricky session. I have experienced fish backing of maggots etc in Ireland. Any feed other than the crumb going in made them back of about 2 yards. I have never worked out why! I changed to Nisa feeders as you can just add 5 or 10gram weights less feeders to carry! Stay well Bill

Hi Jamie, Great video again and thanks for your entertainment. Just a quick question, what size are the bib and brace you wear as you look about the same size as myself and i want to order a set but not sure on medium or large. As sometimes the large can be a large large and medium would be better in that instance. Cheers.

Hi Jamie! I am curios why have you fed 5 small feeders and started fishing after 45 minutes on the short line? I think all the groundbait and maggots are all gone and I do not see the purpose of feeding. Thanks for the great videos?

5 feeders and leave for 45mins? Spend the first 15 minutes chucking the biggest feeder you can and fill it in...those bream shoals are huge. When you stopped catching small fish on the far line you hadnt fed them off....either something with teeth had moved in or the barbel/bream had. Had you stepped the feed up you would have caught them.

Surely with the feeder trapped in a loop, if you get broken off above the feeder the fish is tethered to the feeder? It looks a really poorly thought out rig tbh.
@majmat4 жыл бұрын
That's what hook lengths are for.
@daniellaw89994 жыл бұрын
@@majmat how does a hooklength help when you hook a decent barbel or carp and it goes on a run dragging your mainline against a rock or snag and your mainline parts? The same effect of that rig is easily achieved by sliding a float stop on to the mainline above the feeder. Even if the mainline breaks the line passes through the float stop freeing the fish of the feeder.
@unionjakjakson4 жыл бұрын
@@daniellaw8999 Depends on the amount of Force required to: A) Move the line through the float stop, or : B) snap the hooklength. Providing that the hooklength is not excessively strong( why would it be as why bother using one unless ), then a Carp or Barbel, given the shortness of a hooklength and so it's inability to strech too much and withstand a powerful charge by a fish such as a Carp or Barbel, would soon break free from a snagged feeder.
@daniellaw89994 жыл бұрын
@@unionjakjakson why run the risk of tethering it in the first place when it's so unnecessary? I bet there aren't many commercial venues that would allow that rig.
@unionjakjakson4 жыл бұрын
@@daniellaw8999 Don't know how many commercial venues would allow that rig, as i refuse to fish them. The concept of stocking loads of fish, way above that which is sustainable on the natural food available for that venue size, so as to ensure that the poor fish are so hungry that they would eat a Wellington boot, is as objectionable to me as this rig seems to be to you.
@charliebear14363 жыл бұрын
Feeder running INSIDE a loop? That's a rig from the dark ages, I thought we'd moved on from that.
