Seriously Feeder are one hell of a band. They were voted Best Live Band at the Kerrang Awards 5 YEARS IN A ROW. Ive seen them live 4 times and they always blow you away. Also this song saved my life. I had a serious drug problem which landed my in rehab and i had thoughts of making myself 'not alive'. But i listened to this song once a day and it kept me going nd ive now been clean just over 6 years

If Spotify is pushing you towards Feeder, then it might just push you to Manic Street Preachers soon, too. When it does, you're in for a real treat.

Check out Just a Day. That's my favourite Feeder song.

Good track, not sure why Feeder weren't more well known in the day. "Tumble and Fall" was a great track of theirs, I think anyway.

The singer reminds me in a way to the singer from Sneaker Pimps. Nice song selection and reaction. Best wishes from Düsseldorf, Germany.

This is a good song but not a great one. It's their album opener for Comfort in Sound, recorded after Jon Lee's death (with Skunk Anansie drummer Mark Richardson joining the band) but some of the songs had been started beforehand. Anyway, not every song here is about his death or dealing with loss, but it's a heavy theme and this song is likely about that. A notable song in that respect is the song Godzilla, the heaviest song on the album which deals with a perhaps less often expressed side of grief - I remember in an interview Grand saying that he was really angry with Jon for what he did (the suicide) and the title line comes off as an angry primal scream, a shout when you don't know what else to shout. The closer Moonshine, the title track, Find the colour and "Come back around" (probably the most traditional Feeder song on the album) are among those i like and might suggest checking out, but in general the album Comfort in sound is good but not what most people will think of when you think of Feeder (or at least i imagine this is true, at least for people my age, now 41, and i lost track of feeder after moving to the US in 2006). To get an idea of what Feeder were more normally associated with (or at least 1999-2003 era i knew best), check out Just A Day, Insomnia, Seven Days in the sun, Day in Day out and maybe Buck Rogers (i never thought it the best song, but it was a massive single and everyone knew his car had leather seats and "a CD player, player, player, player").

Yep, when I think of Feeder I tend to think of their second album, Yesterday Went Too Soon. A lot less polished than this album was.

On the road to 4K, G! Also, I heard a strong Oasis correlation when the song began, no doubt.

Before you said “Wonderwall,” the first band that popped in my head was Goo Goo Dolls. As the song went on, I couldn’t shake Goo Goo Dolls. Must be something wrong with me. I need a support group. “My name is Bob. I once put ‘Iris’ on a mix tape.”

This album was understandably jam packed with thoughtful emotional songs, but oddly I don't think they mastered this style until years later with Veins.

Not a bad track. Its the sort that I wouldn't fast forward through but I wouldn't go out of my way for. To be fair I'll pop them up on Spotty next time on the road and give a listen to see if anything catches my ear. Rock on!

Hiya, love your reactions especially as I'm from the UK With that being said there's an American band which is far more popular over here than North American Alter Bridge have an amazing catalogue of songs and sell out on stadium tours over here. Would be stoked if you coukd exact to "Cry of Achilles" my personal favourite. Also Mark Tremonti the kead guitarist has his own band too called Tremonti, and his catalogue is equally as impresive although wuth a harder metal sound..

Pretty good. I like the orchestration. Not familiar with them. This sounds very early 90's to me? Still waiting for more Wolf Alice!
