The static camera angle was spot on. It was great to have e good view of the fish still a little further out, before swapping to the chest cam. I love the vertical positioning too, how a very wide angle lens held the distant water almost perfectly strait, and especially the way you were in a corner with your gear diagonally sloping down toward the centre of view, allowing us to take in the vista and the weather. Good stuff. TTFN.

Great video Jamie 👍.......you said you had problems with stockies in the match (that didn't count).....I've found using a opened ended feeder using sieved krill groundbait mixed 50/50 with sweet bream groundbait.....chopped worm with a few grains of corn do the trick for me for Silver fish....skimmers nd 3/5 lb bream 👍......plus only introduce work nd corn on 4th cast.......use just neat groundbait on other 3 ......also pays to swap to straight lead ......will pick a few big bream out.....nd you can have a cast on outside of baited area (if fish have backed off)..... without any danger of unsettling your swim or over feeding 👍👍👍....I used to match fish alot in open/club events (1980/90s)👍.......had alot of success too 👍......still apply it tday as a pleasure angler 👍.......have had 5 trips on a hard lake in past week 18/01/21 - 23/01/21......in access of 100lb of bream 2.5lb to 4/5lb 👍.....good luck Jamie 👍......try it out 😊

Hiya Jamie as per usual cracking video with lots of info👍getting into feeder fishing but I have a question I can’t find the answer for regarding the clip?say I cast out 16m and clip up then get a fish on do I then unclip the line or can you keep it on the clip?sorry if this is a dumb question I’m a newbie to the clip,and lastly is it best to have the reel on free spool or drag set? Cheers
@raycharm89504 жыл бұрын
you can keep the line on the clip rich when you get a fish on, but if it's a large fish that might run with your line, then when it's pulled the line off your spool to were its reached your clip, then you must quickly take the line off the clip or it will break your line, Jamie had to do this in the vid.

Hi Jamie loving the videos, just a quick question when turning the handle on my horizon 3000. The bail arm does not go over as smooth as other reels. Should you use your finger to push it over so I've been told. Your reply would be appreciated thanks.

always look forward to your vids jamie , better than watching tv.what i cannot understand is why use dead maggots, surely a riggling maggot would be more attractive to any fish .

Another top video mate. Do you normally take the length of line in the rod rings into account when you clip up? Spotted a couple of times, including this one, where you didn't.
@CatchFishingChannel4 жыл бұрын
Thanks Steve, for the last year I have mate but I know that's just a personal thing. Is that something you do mate?
@stevemccrory91304 жыл бұрын
@@CatchFishingChannel I do take the length of line in the rod into account, less one metre, because of the angle of the rod in the rest. Also, after watching the most recent "Submerged" video, I'll be using the rod to feel for the drop more just to make sure that I'm definitely on the spot, especially if there's that light weed around and I'm on a clear patch. It can make all the difference it seems between having a visible hookbait, or one that's suspended / obscured by the weed. I highly recommend it as a "must watch".
