Love your videos. I wish so badly that I had gotten into reptiles when I was your age. Oh well. Life goes on 😂

You can still. I was thinking the same thing. I had a chameleon when I was in my twenties. (R.I.P. Zanzabar), and a couple of anoles before that. Oh yeah, I had a tarantula for like 8 years. (R.I.P. Webber). But here 10 years later, i was thinking of converting my studio apartment into an iguana enclosure. Let's see if I can convince the old lady. Lol.

Hey Shane! Love the video! Some tips? Change the milksnakes substrate to a more natural mix! Aspen is pretty icky in my experience and opinion more expensive in the long run compared to a natural diy mix!

Isn’t that enclosure to small for that big ball python..
@ShaneReptiles Жыл бұрын
I talk a little bit about this in next week’s video but yes you are right it is a little bit small. He was in a bigger enclosure, but he stopped eating and seemed very different. I think that he felt more unsafe in an open area, even when I added lots of foliage. But I have custom enclosures coming for him and my bearded dragon that stack and those will both be much bigger than their current enclosures. I’m hoping I can set it up to have spaces that make him feel safe and still closed in enough.
@kyraaa776 Жыл бұрын
@@ShaneReptilesHe felt unsafe because it wasn’t decorated properly with the right husbandry, Bigger is always better when it comes to reptiles you would know that if you did enough research on the animals you bring into your care. If you cannot care for them properly you might wanna change or rehome them.
@ShaneReptiles Жыл бұрын
@@kyraaa776 I assure you it was decorated properly with all proper husbandry:) I had people who do it for a living help me. He’ll be getting a new PVC enclosure at some point and I’m hoping it being dark on the sides will help him feel safer. My animals are always my main priority🫶🏻
