Hey Cap, I know that you probably won't see this, but I felt like it needed to be said... The main character, Kaz, is autistic coded, he isn't "stupid" he just can't read social cues, like at all. Which, at least from my experience, is very very common for autistic people. Here's all that I was able to pick up on as to why I believe Kaz is autistic coded: He had very robotic speech. As you could probably tell, same Can't read social cues for the life of him. I already pointed this out He overanalyzes social interaction. He wondered if it is common to call people a handsome gentleman in a casual social interaction or if he actually is handsome and a gentleman He takes things way too literally. When he was called a dreamboat, he thought she meant an actual boat, not that he looked nice He was constantly talking about his hyper fixation. When he was asked what his poison was, in reference to alcohol, he talked about an actual poisonous plant and kept rambling on about it. When he was asked what he liked, he enthusiastically burst out saying that he likes plants and he talked about the specific environment that he needed to maintain for the plants to thrive Kaz is obviously autistic coded, at least it's obvious for me as I am autistic and I exhibit many of the traits and have many of the same struggles that he does. When I first noticed that Kaz was autistic coded, I was very excited to see at least some sort of representation in an indie game, I mean- I'm sure many allistics felt that his lack of social skills was annoying but at least he wasn't specifically made as inspiration porn for allistics *cough cough* Music by Sia *cough*. So when Cap said that he couldn't stand Kaz's obliviousness to social cues and said that he was stupid, you can tell why I at least wanted to say something. I understand that it was probably just for joke's sake and such, but I figured I'd bring it up just to point out the fact that saying such things might be hurtful to some people :) So sorry that was so long, but thank you for actually reading it :)
