That is one big and beautiful Vagans, gorgeous species! Had one years ago called Ruby I think, pretty sure she was a female, and she was enormous, easily the terrestrial queen of my collection back then, but I went on holiday to Florida for 2 weeks in April 2013 and my family had turned the heating off, I'm from the UK so it can get cold here. The frigid temperatures killed many of my tarantulas, including my Vagans, also a juvie Albiceps are the ones that come to mind. 😭

I AM ARACHNOPHOBIC AND HAVE BEEN ALL MY LIFE BUT I'M TRYING TO EDUCATE MYSELF ABOUT THESE FACINATING AND BEAUTIFUL CREATURES, TO TRY TO UNDERSTAND THEM AND CONQUER MY FEAR. PLEASE CAN YOU TELL ME HOW EACH SPECIES OF TARANTULA MANAGES TO FIND ITS OWN KIND TO MATE WITH IN THE WILD CONSIDERING THEY APPARENTLY CAN'T SEE AND ALSO CONSIDERING THERE ARE SO MANY SPECIES OF TARANTULAS OUT THERE. DO THEY EVER BREED FROM DIFFERENT SPECIES ARW PRODUCE CROSS BREEDS. IVE WONDERED THIS FOR AGES. THANKYOU.
