Hey figured I would write my question here and you might see it. Just bought a baby pac man frog at a expo the funny thing was my 9 yo was like he looks like avocado he should be avocado Jr so we have an avocado to. But anyway my question is how many crickets will he usually eat each day they said that right now they fed him daily but didn't say how many I know he ate like 3 this morning wasn't sure how many he should eat a day. Thank you for your time.
@Reptiliatus9 ай бұрын
@@jessiandjamesalexander8412 congrats! If they are super tiny, I’d suggest 3-6 crickets per feeding. Crickets shouldn’t be more than 1/4 the size of the frog and dusted with calcium with d3 supplement (unless they have uvb light, then without d3). I just recommend the repashy calcium plus because it also has vitamins and is formulated to be safe to use daily

For me the hardest part of keeping my Tokay and Apalachicola King is keeping the enclosures clean. I do an extensive clean once a week (water dishes every other day) and that can get tough with a 4 year old. Hoping to go full bioactive with the tokay this summer!

I think the hardest part especially when it comes to reptiles is making sure that first you have everything they will need to thrive in their environment, keeping a good feeding schedule and plenty of enrichment for them. I would like to get a reptile but I know my rambunctious cat will knock it over
@DoorsToHideBehind1569 ай бұрын
The hardest part about keeping reptiles for me is the adequate cage size requirements. Back when it was okay to keep most common reptiles like bearded dragons and ball Pythons in 40 gallon tanks it was way easier to find space for their cages. The biggest tank I have is a 75 gallon and my ball python lives in. I want to get more animals but they can only be small enough to fit in a 40 gallon tank.
