Sounds like a wild week over there 😂 congrats! So cool that they spawned and that you were also able to find them. Really cool how much you care and dont want to see them go to the wrong home.

Do you mind sharing any research you found on disinfection techniques for Crypto? I've read the paper on Juniper but I'm curious if you found anything else. I've been discussing Crypto with a few people lately and they're insisting F10SC is ineffective against serpentis and saurophilum, but they can't provide any proof. The paper on Juniper says 2 of the active ingredients in F10 are ineffective, but that's only 5.8% of the ingredients. I use F10 as a weekly disinfectant but I don't want to keep using it if it doesn't work. If you found something I missed please link it or email it to me.

Wickens Wicked Reptiles mentioned you had a video. I didnt realise I'd been unsubscribed to your channel. I am absolutely devastated for everything you had to go through. There is nothing worse than watching your animals in pain. Tha k you for educating us on Crypto. I've heard of it in passing but this opened my eyes to just how deadly it is. Im glad you've had the strength to overcome this. I managed a farm and there are diseases like Coccidiosis where its almost impossible to diagnose until its too late and I had to sit, sometimes for days, watching your beloved creature waste away and die (i lived on a remote island and it was hard to get a vet in to Euthanize). Euthanasia should be a last resort though. Im glad you had a willing and knowledgeable friend who was willing to commit to the specific requirements for your snakes. Its a huge commitment to limit oneself when there is so much passion.

Im so sorry for your loss. But im so glad you tested the rest of your reptiles and that you didnt have to put down your snakes. Contageous lizards being sold all over the world could have started a world wide epidemic in the worst case scenario, and we can all imagine the personal and legal ramifications that could have had. I understand why someone would suggest not to test, but that would be a very selfish decision that could also end any remaining uninfected animals. Again, in glad you didnt have to put down your snakes, i would have taken the offer in a hearbeat, but you thought it through so i think youre stronger than me on that front lol. Wish the best of luck to you and your friend that took in the snakes! Knowing you have an active biohazard as a pet must be stressful.

I love watching your videos! I can tell that you love every Reptile! I know that you are very dedicated to them all. I have two created geckos from watching your videos. I named them after your geckos Kiki and Torch. I just love all of your lizards, but I’m a little afraid of your spiders. I’m so happy that you were able to get rid of the virus. Last but least I am truly sorry to hear about your snake. I look forward to seeing more of your videos!

How do you think one can make sure the disease does not make it to a collection? It it something that can be contagious if you go like to a friend's house, manipulate their pets and then touch yours? I really think 300$ is not too expensive to test each new pet you bring home to be honest, to save many more! You took the right decisions the whole process. You really are a model to follow for reptile keeping

Did you ever figure out how the crypto got into your collection in the first place? How does it jump between enclosures? Is it airborne? I'm glad that you were able to ethically rehome the affected snakes. I've rescued feral kittens that had feline herpes or FIV, and they are contagious for life. You cannot let them outside, you have to get them fixed, and you have to really support their immune system. Most vets would just say "the world is full of feral kittens, and there are healthy cats that need to be adopted." Rationally, they may be right, but I still believe that those little lives were valuable too. I lost several kittens who were just too week to make it, but the two I have now are happy, healthy adults.

Thank you this was so educational. I’ve been learning about reptile diseases that aren’t really known lately trying to learn so just in case anything happens I can catch on to it. This video was really sad to watch but thank you for letting us know and you have a new fan. My condolences to your snake and I’m happy you got to re home your other snakes to someone who can take care of them for ypu

Now that I've seen the video, I really feel for you and I appreciate you so much for taking such extreme measures to protect your animals and other keepers. We talked about a year ago about sand geckos and how I hoped to purchase from you one day. I still intend to do that, even more now knowing you are such a dedicated and trustworthy individual. You were so approachable and kind, the easy attitude you spoke with me, I always have remembered, you were friendly instead of distant like many other large youtubers. I'm not an active watcher, but I'll pop through a few more of your videos today, for Kira. You deserve the best, you are a truly wonderful keeper who did everything you could and I'm glad to see you came out the other side of it with your love and passion for these animals intact. Be blessed by all the universe, Dayyan.

This is unfortunate. My old dog got cryptosporidium, and as you mentioned it is not nearly as bad for mammals. I never knew cryptosporidium was this bad for reptiles, so sorry for your loss man. Hopefully you, along with the reptile room, will recover
