Seems like a nice setup except for this..... A. When those dovii spawn they will kill half your stock at the very least. B. Frontosa's are an African cichlid and everything else in that tank is American, the frontosa should have a higher ph and hard water . C.your red tail is gonna start to feed on your stock soon D. Festivums should not be housed with dovii. A pair of dovii should not be housed with anything, in the wild a dovii pair can take up a 10x10 territory easy. They may seem ok man, I get it, but trust me from experience, the dovii are killers, if they, excuse me, when they breed, they r obviously a pair, they will not stop harassing everything in their until they r either dead or Crammed on the other side of the tank away from their spawn, and that is if your luck and they decide to spawn on the far side of the tank.
@youngwoodsman41108 жыл бұрын
+Max Pappas one objection,,,,, Africans have been breed so many times that they have grown accustomed to lower PHs and south americans have been breed so many times they have grown accustomed to higher phs.
@mp_cichlid42458 жыл бұрын
I'm aware they have grown accustomed, and I'm not saying that they can't live in lower ph or it will harm them. However what I am saying, is that naturally...these fish live in a higher ph, yes I understand this isn't nature however we should do our very best to replicate it.

Nice tank and fish but those fish (especially the arowana, gar, and redtail) need more space to really thrive. I say especially the arowana because they tend to be longer (growing up to three feet in length or longer) a fish like that needs space to turn and can't do that in a tank smaller than 200 gallons at least. More so for the gar which can grow to a whopping 9 feet long and a redtail catfish that can reach 5 ft in length. I'm not one of those fish fanatics but those fish are very large and need a little bit more space.

The fish in here are some great fish, but this is not a good example of how to setup an aquarium. I say this as a lot of people are impressionable when looking at aquariums and may think they can just go out and mock this tank, when in reality, you really cannot. In due time, depending upon how fast the growth rates are, some of these fish could end up eating most of the other fish in the tank. Even the Arrowana isn't safe in there. Likely this is only a temporary setup though, I mean, it's temporary whether the own likes it or not as eventually fish will begin to start quarreling and killing and stressing which will lead to diseases. The bio-load is high on a tank like this, due to the amount of waste as well as the type of food that is required to feed fish this big. I also don't think the water flow in the tank is very good and the filtration looks meager. Looking at this tank, I don't see a drip system or refugium system in place, so I would say it's not pragmatic to change the water in a fish every two days, you just grow weary of it.

+INFAMOUS Jealous? I think the term is concerned actually. Being concerned for another living beings health is a perfectly justifiable thing to voice your opinion about, these fish aren't kept in adequate conditions and considering how much they swim in the wild. You will just end up with extremely unhappy fish that will likely die due to stress or disease. The people commenting are simply concerned for the animal's welfare and don't give a damn about this guy because he obviously hasn't done his research or simply ignores the requirements of these fish intentionally.

Awesome. This is the first time I saw so many ‘predators’ fish in a fish tank. It’s quite a nice experience. Must be difficult maintain? 🤔

Man that tank is way to small for those fishes and to Little rocks (Caves) like frontosa they love to be in a Cave. Thumbs down, I wonder how you would feel If I put you in a small room with alot of people.
